Can't Run the Game

I do not know if it is due to my windows update or Star Conflict update, but since 4 days ago, I have not been able to run the game. I have reinstalled the game twice now and it is still giving me the same issue.

 

Once i double click on the game a medium size black windows flashes for 0.00001 secs and nothing comes up. I go to task manager, the game does not execute. 

Any clue what this problem may be coming from?

 

I have restored computer to three weeks ago but unfortunately after game update it still throws me the same window.

Wondering if system restore shows that the problem is not due the windows update.

 

My computer is only 4 month old. Built it recently therefore I do not think it is an issue with hardwares or system compatibility as where the game was running perfect 2-3 weeks ago.

 

I would appreciate someone’s help!

Are you launching Star Conflict from Steam or from its launcher?

that update just makes the system more like a windows 7 . 

 

should work on both just as fine. 

 

i also recommend playing this game from steam.

Third recommendation to install via steam.

Don’t forget to post your version of windows, and your antivirus.

If you updated from 8 to 8.1, I have noticed that the game does not launch at times or chashes.

I updated to 8.1 and I’ve noticed that sometimes it’s a little more delayed but it still starts.  Maybe I’m lucky.

make sure to re install steam and all games if you didnt do “clean” installation
