Cant play the game, not your fault

I cant do anything usef. to my team. I cant kill 1 ship. I always lose. Why?

Because my internet connection is so bad that if i try to fly an inty, it spins, teleports, blows up.Wich leads. Me to being an useless sniperfrig doing nothing but being killed. I only have 20 FPS. it is not a lot. Is it?

So i think i should try another game, that doesnt need fast internet connection or good FPS, wich doesnt excist. lol

If you can help me so somehow, thanks!

Edit: i think my problem is that averytime i play, i never play with a teammate, and the enemy decides to instakill me, like, i can barely take down his shield, while he lills me realy quick, even if it is a t2

BTW, my kill per match ratio is 0.3, and 4 assist per match, and have a winlose ratio of 0.6, wich is extremly bad, compared to a newby, that probably has a much higer kill per match ratio.

Im using a Hydra 2, that gets killed averytime, its so annoying to see that i die 10 seconds of getting to the battlefield.

PS: Im not getting killed by t3, i get killed my Hercules, and other t1 ships.

Its sad because its a pretty good game

PS2: I live on Argentina, if that changes anything

Just to chip in, I’ve flown a few missions with Null and he’s definitely not joking there. At the start of any match he’s more of a liability than a help and you can clearly see that he’s experiencing some sort of terrible lag. We’ve had PvE missions where he was dead before he could even touch the controls.

I’m guessing it’s partially PC and partially connection related, but only conclusive information will tell.

Null - it would help to have a list of your computer specs (particularly CPU, GPU, Ram, but anything else u can provide is good too), as well as details on your internet connection. DX Diag might be handy too.

Press f-11 or is it f-10 while in game, it will show you fps and ping. There shud be some numbers in the left down corner of the screen, report these numbers here and we will see is the problem in your hardware or internet connection.

make sure you have the latest network drivers for your device

defragment your Windows drive and if you installed SC on a differnt drive, defag that also

turn off your firewall, see if that helps

what are your results from http://www.speedtest.net/ ?

1: turn down the graphical settings, as that may help with the FPS issue

2: play a match. in the beginning, press f-11. it will show your FPS, ping, and packet loss. please post them here

3: do what keyote suggested. go to speedtest.net and post your results

all of this will help us in helping you figure out what is going on and how to fix it.

I already lowered the graphics to a minimum.

I press f10, i dont remember my ping number, i think it flies around 300 or even higher.

But my problem i think is my lack of teamwork, i seem to lack that. Still, the connection lag and FPS makes big difference, since he can get more shots out than me.

My ram is 2gb, pretty low but not that bad (Well it is really bad)

Game was installed via Steam

Dont have the time to play until Monday

You ping is to high, shud be bellow 100 for normal play.

ya 300 ping may have worked for Quake2 but its way to slow for new games… Are you able to play online FPS’s?

I suspect your network card is an onboard cheapo and maybe it does not have a processing chip on it and is using your CPU and this is causing your lag. If that is the case, new drivers may improve the situation but if you have a cheap motherboard and are using the onboard network card… its probably time for an upgrade

I dont play a lot of FPS games, also my computer is new 2012.

I will stay near a bacon and snipe, is the thing i can do until i upgrade, i know very little about PC’s, but i dont think its an onboard card, ill check later when i get home

is it a branded pc? like Dell, HP or whatever else there are these days? if so what model is it?

otherwise do this

right click on the My Computer or Computer icon on your desktop

go to Manage

click on device manager

double click Network Adapters

what is your network adapter called?

double click the adapter in question

go to the drivers tab

click the update driver and see if MS has a driver upgrade in their database for it

you probably want to do the same for your video and sound cards

Im not with my PC right now, but its a HP, ill do that on Monday when i get back home.

Thank you!

its probably got an intel chipset on it if its HP

go to http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect

and update all the stuff it suggests

Actually, ping anywhere lower than 200 is playable. I would suggest getting a little more RAM. If your operating system is 32-bit, get an additional GB of RAM, and if it is a 64-bit OS, get 2 more GBs instead. Make sure your Intel drivers are up to date. Maybe look into getting a low-end dedicated GPU?
