Can't connect to server

I have never played the game. 

 

I downloaded the game via steam.

 

Then proceeded to start the game.

At menu it says ‘‘Use current steam account’’ and beneath it the button with ‘‘login’’.

 

When i click the login button, error message appears ‘‘unable to perform operation’’ ‘‘unable to connect to server’’.

This has happened every time i’ve tried the past 2 days.

Game launcher needs ports:
TCP 27022-27042, 6881, 8090
