Can All Destroyer Shoot 8 Guns At Once?

I heard on the wiki page for SC that all destroyers can only shoot 6-8 of their guns at any given time. But which destroyers can only shoot 8 and which can only shoot 6?

The number of turrets is the same for all destroyers, as for their behave. 
Controls on dessies works in a different way, mouse controls only the shooting direction and not the movement. So according on the “angle” you are facing your target, the number of the guns that can shoot, change.

Ex: if your destroyers is facing your target broadside, you will shoot with 8 guns. If instead, you are facing your target with the rear side or the front side, only 6 guns will shoot.

Edit: maybe those drafts will help, (or maybe not, my paint skills are terribad ![:p](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/004.png “:p”), also it’s only 2d and the number of real turrets is not correct, there are more of them but for a raw example it should be enough )

I thought they used even less when shooting behind and below?

They shoot 6 in front,but 2 behind,below and above,if those are in the rear hemisphere,or something like that.

Actually most of then shoot with only 6 gun:

Archon

Brave

Sibyl

Tyrant

Invincible…

Dunno about the other but that what I’ve seen so far

I’ve got Invincible and I can shoot up to 8 guns…

So all DDs can shoot up to 8, that’s good to know.

I’m starting having doubt about the fact all of them have 8 turrets , since I’m not a destro player… 
But the guns anyway, behave the way I described.

Thats incorrect. Spongejohn’s explanation is pretty good: all destroyers use the same amount of turrets depending on the firing direction, maybe with small angle differences, but nothing big. As other sayed: shooting to the front uses 6 turrets, a proper broadside uses 8 (a bad one (shooting either too high, too low or way to the sides) will use 4-6 turrets), shooting below uses 2 turrets and to the back 2-4 turrets. Pro tip: match your horizontal angle to the target you are shooting at.

Destroyers have 12 turrets though in total, hence the bloated false DPS on the weapon stats, since it is calculated for 12 turrets, while in reality you can not shoot more than 8 at a time, and most of the time you ended up having a target in 4-6 turrets angle.

Yes it depend of the angle but in a fight you will almost never shoot with 8 guns :confused: sad but it’s a real fact

The only real dessy player here is Papi, and he was right about turrets-angles.

Those guys sinaka and endeavsomething that posts a lot and have a lot of +1(and according to re*** people that thinks it is a measure of of how you are right or just “old” or wrong and boring, if you don’t have enough of them)thinks some dessyies have more guns than others… instead of making war to each others why can’t we be friends? It’s not that some have more gun it just depend on how the turret are placed, the tyrant for exemple, most of it’s turret are on the front, you get 4 at the back but only 2 of those can shoot no matter the angle
