Building Dreadnought - No cancel button when you click wrong

Hello Developers,

we are a new german corporation, and are building the Dreadnought. We want to play T3, and are building the T3 weapons actually.

Unfortunatelly there is no explanation, and no info how to do this in the hangar.

I klicked the button “Upgrade” only to see what i can do with the plasmaturret (i thought Mark 1 to MArk 2, and expectet a window with infos to this), and…

…no window, but building started immediately at costs of 25.000 Iridium.

REALLY DEVELOPERS?

  • no explanation

  • no information what happens by leftklick on upgrades

  • no query window / check window

  • NO CANCEL BUTTON

Please guys, contakt me and cancel the started T4 Upgrade we never need. We want to play the dreadnought, and want to finish it fast. This throws us back for WEEKS.

Thank you, that you can do this for a small german corporation.

TIP:

Copy the “Query Window” when we take weapons from ship A to ship B (see attachement), and paste it to the Dreadnought Builds.

Or put in an cancel button, to be able to correct such an mistake.

25.000 iridium is a lot for a small corporation, only one click not on purpouse, and the catastrophy is perfect.

I’m not the only one, NASA said “we also fucked up…”

So please contact me, and cancel the started T4 Upgrade.

We have no power in such givings. You can try to make a ticket to Gaijin Support https://support.gaijin.net/hc/en-us But it’s the pilot action, which developers can not be responsible for.

We will try to make explanasions more clear on that in the future.

Thats nice, but there is also a cancel button necessary (to switch back by mistakes), and the check window (as explanation).

Make it homogeneous (similar to the other upgrades…)

So i contact the support again.

Thanks

As I was told, canceling of Dreadnought update is impossible, due to technical restrictions of the game. We will add more information about that in menu to make irreversible upgrades more understandable for pilots.

Hello!

Thank you for contacting Gaijin Customer Support.

As it was already mentioned in your previous ticket regarding the same problem - nothing can be done in such cases. Please be careful in future.

Best regards,

Gaijin Entertainment Support Team

OK Guys, really disapointing. One hand washes the other:

  • no banking any more (and that was a lot, have a look)

  • no helping beginners any more

  • no promotion for this game any more

I’m CEO, its really not funny for a small corporation to get 25.000 Iridium!!! This one unexplained click throws us back for at least 5 weeks.

And this mistake is not only on the pilot side.

Within this 5 Weeks we could build about 11 plasmaturrets, maybe finish the dread weapons (i dont know for shure).

So “many thanks”, motivation is at minus 10.

If you have another solution to this problem, my ears are open!

There is an aditional point if dread + weapons + upgrades are build

Everybody says, that the corporation iridium should go to the players account, when the dread and all weapons, and upgrades are build.

Actually the corporation iridium goes to the neverlands.

For me it woulkd be also ok, if we get credits or voucher instead of iridium.

Did you construct the Federation by any chance?

Sorry i dont understand your question shotan.

I was making a joke.

But yes, I agree there should be a cancel button before construction.

They will add a confirmation window, so you will be able to cancel, if you change your mind.

Thats great that they add a Window, but it benefits not to OUR problem.

Would be nice to cancel OUR startet Upgrade.

OR, mistake is not only on our side: give us 50% of the iridium we need, this would shorten the build for us.

Complete silence from SC?

On every step in this game is a window with kind of “Do you really want to?”, even if you want to CLOSE THE GAME (this is annoying in games since 100 years).

But if the bet is 25.000 Uridium, there is no window like that.

So SC, is this on purpose to steal the corporations 25k iridium?

Your only answer is “be careful”. Very funny. And that this is an pilot mistake. Also very funny.

Do you write this because of your incompetence to program this?

Or purpose to outbrake the dread buildings?

If you have grace and honour, check this, and compensate 50% of this 25k iridium.

Have a nice day.

Instead of trying to show us how awesome you are,

realise that you fckued up, and then contact mods directly, mods, gms and devs are people, nobody will listen to some egoistic kids demands. The more you act like this, the more people will make fun of you.

Grow up, and deal with your mistakes.

Hi,

I’ve got a few thoughts here to share and to cheer you up a bit.

I agree that the game lacks clear explanations and exhaustive tooltips here and there. Your best option is to dig yourself into guides and topics of your interest on forum. I know it does not help new players much without experience and it is a bit hard to extract all the info you need but if you ask players they will surely give you the answer you need. Sometimes more to the point answers than you would get from developers. Also, the latest version of the Sector Conquest mode was rushed to be introduced, I think, and its core has been left more or less untouched ever since so it is a little… umm… imperfect. But changes are coming… sooner or later. See info here: [Developer Blog](< base_url >/index.php?/topic/29583-developer-blog-from-february-4th-evolution-of-%E2%80%98sector-conquest%E2%80%99/) and [Patch 1.3.4](< base_url >/index.php?/topic/30039-star-conflict-134/#comment-358485).

However, it is not true that the game is not helping beginners. In fact, it helps newcomers more than ever. When I started playing there was only the tutorial for basic controlling and that was it. Now there is a whole series of official [‘Igromania’](< base_url >/index.php?/topic/28000-game-lessons-with-igromania/) videos that are very informative. You can find some of them here on forum (or on SC’s main page if forum is not updated with new contents).

Also, there are dozens of excellent guidelines made by players in the [Guides](< base_url >/index.php?/forum/234-guides/) section. The bests were rewarded and chosen for officially introducing after a guideline contest. See links of the works from the contestants [here](< base_url >/index.php?/topic/29821-guide-contest-guides/). If devs are backing these works then it means something. If you look around a bit you will find a lot of things for dreadnoughts as well. I would suggest checking this one out as well: [[PvP] Dreadnought Battle Mode Primer](< base_url >/index.php?/topic/29926-pvp-dreadnought-battle-mode-primer/) by Mecronmancer.

And finally, to make your loss feel less painful, here is STEEL’s story about building the dreadnought:

Dreadnoughts had been introduced with a month or so long contest among the corporations. The best 3 or so who have built their dreadnought ahead of others got awesome rewards. My corp was not in the race for the top spots. We never had a chance to get among the top corps. Our goal was to build it before the deadline and be noticed and given a humble text in achievements saying we did it. We did good until one rebel corp member in his rage (or at least so we think) blew about 40 000, all of our reserve iridium on boosting the speed of one single construction stage. It all happened after we launched a construction stage and we had only a few days left to collect another 25 or 35 ( I don’t remember) thousand iridium for the next stage. First of all we panicked. Then asked for help and info about the traitor but did not get what we hoped for which wasn’t unexpected of course. The thing is: as long as you lose something by your mistake, you cannot really expect for refund or reversed actions. If, the loss happened because of a game error then you can file a report and ask for help which you will likely get if possible. If not then maybe some other way. I think we all agree that this is the only fair way that cannot be legitimately dispute. So, we spent a lot of time in open space going after aliens, transports, and everything that moved in the most dangerous sectors and collected as many iridium from their loot as we could. And what we had to notice? The iridium loot drops got slightly better during the contest. Not sure but I think it was a little help from devs. Not only to us. It applied to everyone so they chose the most indirect and fairest way possible.

Anyway, what I wanted to point out here is that don’t judge the SC team or get disappointed so fast. Keep in mind that this game is made by a company that has rules and a conduct to follow. And above of all, they have to or should strive for being fair with all players and not discriminating or favoring anyone.

And if you asked. Yes, we managed to build our dreadnought in time. It was a close call though. How close? Well, we finished 5 minutes before the deadline and server shutdown for dreadnought patch.:)

So, don’t give up.

P.S.: I would suggest you and your corp mates spending as much time in Leviathan killing defilers as you can. You will see what I am talking about. Just take your time and you will get what you need.

P.P.S.: We have a section called [Galactic Library 1/2](< base_url >/index.php?/topic/29137-stellar-marines-steel/&do=findComment&comment=346262) and [Galactic Library 2/2](< base_url >/index.php?/topic/29137-stellar-marines-steel/&do=findComment&comment=346263) with useful info about the game. Feel free to use them.

Just to show you what I was talking about:

And I had no luck in this run because I did not find any loot with 100 or 150 iridium.

Yup that the new best way to get iri fast i just hope they will  not change the drop rate…
