You know, allowing people to opt out of that would probably be a good thing… I mean, is there a technical reason you can’t do this? Is there some background issue that means you can’t allow players to click a button saying “I do not want to be matched outside the +2/-2 range”, or even better “I don’t want to be matched outside my tier”?
Just saying; if people mistake your “working as intended” matchmaking system as bugged, that probably means you didn’t design it very well.
Yeah, instead of changing the current system completely, just add more options to the MM.
but I just had 5-6 games where my team had maybe 2-3 guys in the same corp/squad, and the other team had 4+3 in same corp/squadin each game. Needless to say we never had any chance in any of those games.
tried to change sector, but the same guys from the enemy corps would also be there on the same enemy team, and same story.
It should match the squads better, so you dont have 1or 2 squads on 1 side, and the other have a small squad. this is slowly killing the game.
how them dont mix? well thats easy… cose rookies sees t3 (or t2 premium full mk4 in this case) took his head when he looks at death log and while he thinks about that short time it took for him beeing owned his left hand just goes for esc key all by itself…
K?
k…
Screens taken on 13 secs apart, so u can see points for ur self.
t5 rookie (me), with 3 ships (2 of witch are lvl2 synergy, 1 is lvl5) and full Mk1 gear, and in the other corner:
pwnmobiles thirsty for blooood (insert funny Dracula voice), with FULL synergy ships (and gear I can only dream about)
This is not match making. This is target practise. If you want this game to be anywhere near of fair mm will have to start taking into account lvl of gear, aswell as pilot rating, cose judging from this - it sure as hell isn’t taking anything into account aside from Tech Lvl.
T5’s population is limited, so most of the people you might face are used to 1v1 bot matches. For the time being, you have two options, drop tiers, or learn to like 1v1 bot matches.
