Bot AI - LRF bots snipe and maneuver at the same time!

  1. Lrf ships cotrolled by the AI menauver when damaged, though shouldn’t if aiming and using disintegrator - movement is cancelled during sniper mode.

  2. I expected lrfs to stay still even when damaged, human players cannot dodge if sniping.

  3. Any skirmish match against AI - custom matches or CO-OP.

  4. As above.

  5. Every encounter with AI lrfs.

You used to be able to rotate in disintegrator mode,but not strafe. Also, rotating while in disintegrator mode was not that great for aiming!  may be useful if you are aiming at the one ship that actually flies directly above or below you, and you get that fps spin aim that is annoying. But we don’t have turn keys any more

AIs are rotating atm in a way of using A+Q or D+E keys. not rotate keys which were removed. Yes, you were able to turn left, right, up and down, but not rotate Q or E and abslutely not strafe A, D, Alt, or Spacebar.

I saw a sniper shot!

Still doesn’t negate this bug.

This is about disintegrator firing from a sniper bot, while strafing at the same time in the sniper mode.

Check the video and pause it exactly at 0:19 sec. You can clearly see, that (bot)Scoundrel fired a sniper shot, just a moment before it died!

This bug report is all about that, not about Cruise missiles at all.

how does a cruise missile relate to anything with this bug?! THIS IS CLEARLY A BUG. Tested - If you deal damage to the bot, he will rotate even if aiming with disintegrator - the red beam will appear even if rotating.

 

How to replicate - Go to Coop, Pick a lrf, shoot a few times at enemy ELRF and see how it will rotate its ship, even if using disintegrator.

 

Look closely to the Bot rotating in the video, The AI is rotating all the time a damage is being dealt to its ship, and from nowhere fires its disintegrator. This would mean two things only - either he had instant disintegrator charge - which no one has (you need to wait a few ticks before you can shoot even if aiming) he was rotating during aiming.

I am done with bug reports in such case. If they can’t find someone to help him with proper translation, I am wasting my time for nothing.

alright. I’m sorry to whirl any dust, but why don’t you try for yourself? Its super easy to replicate. Why do we make guides how to replicate then? Don’t you have like anyone to check the bugs? This is becoming very annoying.

can’t you see it?! from 0:16 the “scoundrel” ai is moving, moing moving till gets destroyed and just before the explosion, fires a disintegrator. We all know you need time before you can fire disintegrator, even if you just press F, there is a cricle which needs to be filled before you can fire.

I believe that this is due to AI not having to wait for a cool down or at least a very short cool down, in this case the cool down of the disintegrator when used. AI can snipe immediately and strafe exactly after firing a shot and then immediately snipe again. Therefore the above stated. I noticed this when I first started playing the game so I’m surprised its coming up as a “WHAT?” kind of thing by the admins, etc… As far as video footage of it, its very common for the AI to do that. Just play coop a few rounds and see for yourself.

Not possible, it is not visible from the the Kormoac’s footage, but the ai is maneuvering even if aiming. You can see this when trying to outsnipe another ai. The tracking Beam is on een when strafing. This could only mean the AI is in disintegrator mode AND maneuvering.

unfortunately still an issue, especially in “fire support” “defense contract” and coop battles.
