black market prices (USD vs EURO)

Hi,

I am considering to buy 3000+300 GS for 10.50 USD , it’s a price I’d like to pay for the game.

Well, the in-game Black Market link does not work (“Galactic standards transaction error”).

On the Web page there is an online shop, great, but he price there appears as 10.50 EURO. This is 50% more… Is it really necessary to inflate the prize like that? It’s a transaction killer for me. If you change it back to USD I will buy.

Regards

The $1 = €1 pricing is outragous. Maybe I would be willing to spend $15-$20 for the game, but not if I have a feeling of being ripped off.

Oh come on!

First the link is advertised as $ and then it’s Euro. This is treating your customers like piece of xxxx.

Paid through steam, paid $10.50 USD. No scam

the problem is you cant just straight up convert the price from USD to EURO as in Europe all goods and services  have VAT on top of the prices that includes micro transactions which will be about 20%. In the US they don’t have sales tax on online goods yet.

There is no VAT on these virtual goods afaik.

I can assure you the euro/usd conversion is not a VAT issue. The difference is simply pocketed by the merchant.

The difference has been reported and we will try to adjust it.

Why do I have issues believing this statement’s sincerity ?

Any progress with this? I refuse to get price discriminated. I won’t pay more if other can get the same product for less.

As long as they can get away with it, they wont change this.

Ah… not yet but they are passing a damn bill so this tyrannical government can start taxing online goods for the US. like they don’t spend enough of our hardworking tax money foolishly. (note this has nothing to do with the game lol)

Personally, as long as those price are not adjusted I will not buy any pack or a penny ingame credits.

I pay much cheaper with no fake VAT inflation ingame money for two other games : Mechwarrior Online and World of Tanks.

Just buy from russian site with roubles if you’re feeling extremely hurt about the issue but want to buy gold. It’s even cheaper there.

Sadly, the issue is “what market will bear”, and folks in europe are so used to paying extra that they largely accept it.

I am unable to complete my payment through russian site, because of “Попробуйте оплатить еще раз или обратитесь, пожалуйста, в службу поддержки RBK Money.” Apparently my country or bank doesn’t support your bank or something.

Could you enable PayPal payments on your site? It would make everything easier.

And payments from your site is still offering prices in dollars, but immediately switches to euros.

Thread necro, off-topic and blind:

Good job, that’s a hat-trick. :stuck_out_tongue:

What? I don’t really care if thread is dead, what matters is that problem is still here, unsolved.

My post is clearly not off-topic, it’s about currency, I’ve read carefully this thread before posting and blind? Yes, there is Paypal option, I know. But not on the russian gaijin site I was talking about!  I won’t pay euros when I am offered to pay dollars or another, better(=cheaper) currency.

And currencies are still different, which is bad and sort of f*** you to us customers.

I tried to contact support too, we’ll se if they will at least try to help their customer.

Question has been answered.

Sorry but it hasn’t been answered, even with uk sales tax of 20% $10 still would equal £6.84 yet we have to pay £7.93, sorry but that just doesn’t seem right or fair.

but there looking into…a year ago and nothing changed…does it really take a year to change the batteries on a calculator?

id love to buy more gold but i just cant stomach being taken advantage of just because were in EU, there should be ONE price for all nations (put sales taxes on by all reason, but what were paying is sales tax plus a little extra just because)

You have to buy via Steam if you’re in the EU, the Gaijin store has always been a rip-off. Steam, too, but less so.

Questions on premium economy will not be answered. But you can always try to contact the payment support, if you have an issue.
