True, but it’s only sustainable if the game content is compelling and there are new players willing to climb the ladder. Right now people are frustrated by buggy play and leaving. I think making the game more accessible is important, and the revenue model should change to be more attractive.
In a ±2 rank-based MM, veterans will be constantly flying against people with ships two ranks above them, unless they play t5. That is effectively shutting them out of any other tier (which would be stupid), since they have no reason to fight against better equipped ships. It’s the same with bots in t3. It is shutting vets out of this tier, and I am totally against it.
Nobody said that. Your elo would be used to balance teams, not to balance Ranks.
Are you using Star Conflict’s player rating as elo? The number in profile uses ship rank, so a terrible T5 pilot would rank above an excellent T2 pilot, and balance would not be as intended.

Elo is the rating we use to have before current tier influenced pilot rank. The old Elo is still tracked internally, but is not accessible to simple users.
Yeh, I recall the change in the ranking system. Was just wondering.
just feels sad that this was ended in under 10d!
also i dont notice an ingame announcement - not that im much online this week but 3 times - no special notification!
maybe the results wouldnt so strange if this survey would be real serious attention gained!

ehm - where did you get that number?
ONLY around 5000 people played this game!
while ~1000 played this month!
so ~60% of all players answer to that while only ~20% play the game…
eighter theres something wrong on the numbers or theres a culture of twitch.tv that have more interest in surveys than to actually play the game - but well made if that game gets such a great twitch community xP
oh wait - that doesnt fix the issue of massive player loss *whoops* D:
but interesting that after the “may-june” player loss there 2 “ups” between august-october o.O - but also huge fluctuation between 650 and 1133 ppl playing upkeep…
Edit:
it was a great game - had fun with it at the start of this year - but it feelt that the dev’s just leave it abadoned hoping that someone buys those overprized dlc’s…
but as long the game keeps punishing teamplay, made progress more of a pain and restricting us in so many ways - im done, maybe keep playing tournament because even with total stupid balancing its the only mode left where teamplay matters! xP
well still interested where you get that “3000” people answers?!^^
or do you mean “answers” itself? - that would mean 60people^^

Actually the majority of players plays by using the non-steam client and steam does not count these players. In addition to this we have players from ARC, which is also not counted by steam.
How do you come to the conclusion that only 5000 people played this game and only 1000 this month?
You can have 1000 players playing at 13:00 while at 15:00 there 1000 completly different players, because the former players logged out and new players logged in.

Is Steam the one and only platform for Star Conflict?
Sorry, man, but your analytics is not very strong.

Man, you should study a bit of statistics, or just learn to read.
Engineer is the most favored class in the community? that’s why seeing one among 10 other random people is a christmas miracle, right?
Tacklers though, I’ll believe. The weak just love using those two drones and then hiding or running away, and as we know most of the people in this game exist as meat for consumption by the skilled. “casual asmr experience” indeed. Give me your exp and credits meat. It belongs to me.
