Bear is good ship.
I have quite the same build.
Its an interesting build…
Do the heatsinks reduce the time until you get full power out of the lazors?

I am not 100% sure, but i believe that this is the case from what i heard. Heat sinks are good with Ions because they increase dmg ticks count.
This build is similar to Gauss cannon builds play style, you don’t 1v1, you flank and shoot stuff, mainly Fighters and Frigates, stasised interceptors (or those that can’t break your slow)
It is not clear from numbers, but (as long as you can stay on target, thats why fighters and frigs) this build will out dps Singularity cannons, it synergizes extremely well with your target painter due to Ion Emitters mechanics.
No doubt this build does less dmg than buble Gunship under overdrive+overcharge, but it does considerably more dmg then gunships with no boosts available and you don’t have to go in melee range in order to hit targets. I was quite surprise the hurt output produced last night.
Just to throw some approximate dps numbers there:
Vs a target with 80 thermal resistances this build at max dmg stage will do about 2800 dps (already counting resistance reductions)
While Bubble gun on the same ship with the same modules vs 80EM resistances will do about 2940 DPS (but range is 4x smaller)
These numbers do not count over heat recovery.
Hey good man, show us your ship stats, you know, speed, energy values, rotation values, and that stuff !

Yeah, i should’ve post that i guess, its just all modules are focused on pumping up weapons, so there were not much change in basic ship stats and it had Positive Energy from teh start :))
Ill edit those in when i get back from work.

I was just wondering the speed and manouver of your Bear. I don’t remember the name of one of our mates that have his bear with almost 500 afterburner speed haha
Just for comparison - Heres my Bear Build (I Often swap the weapons around as love assalt rails too much not to use them)

I find your build is conflicting itself, what i mean is it is clearly a close range build - Inhibitor- Bubble gun but you do not run Compensator for rotation NOR the empire rotation implant, basically you are giving up in close range and wont be able to do what you want to do - outmaneuver and kill.
- You injector (or w/e the name of it, dmg module in capacitor slot) is reducing your energy output and in the same time you run 2 energy hog modules - painter and inhibitor, rendering you unable to maneuver with AB whatsoever and you do not compensate with rotation/base speed for that, rendering your acceleration module useless (It does NOT affect strafe acceleration, it is default to 5.5ms2 and can not be affected in anyway)
-Bubble gun in close range has huge hitbox, last thing you want is spread reduction, best module to exploit Bubble gun is critical chance module.
-
And since the build is a close range emergency barrier might be very beneficial.
-
Heat sinks don’t synergize with bubble gun imho as well, it artificially increase your DPS value in stat window with no actual effect on a game play. If i recall it correctly Bubble gun has 45-48 shots per minute, heat sink will give you 1-2? extra shot Per minute, this is neglectable.
Edit: now that i look at it again, it looks like you posted your RailGun build and forgot to swap Bubble gun out. That would make more sense.
Thats a valid point - It should have had the assalt rails equipped (I swapped them out for a quick pve game)

whats up with that hull resist? how in the heavens you have 30-90-60 resist on the bear? I am missing some damn good implant who gives 10 resist to hull?
edit: nvm you are using that things that give you resist for 3 battles, never though of using them… hmmm

I am too cheap to use it, 10 resists to Hull/Shield are extremely rare where will save you, while i did have cases where i survived with 1 digit Hull numbers, those are very rare. I only use Speed after price increase.
I don’t have any problems using he ingame boosters that dont cost GS’s - Every 30 games I spend just shy of 1mill ingame credits on them

Its not the money its more of the fact that effect is very very small, pretty much neglectable while for example speed in comparison is very noticeable.
