Attack speed cap + Overdrive

If you can focus down some one from 6km with ions, he is a total xxxx and you shouldnt be proud of kicking kids to the curb

Any frigate and imperial / jerry fighters are easy to focus down, no matter who is piloting.

Ceptors and fed figthers are more tricky, but you don’t need to focus them to burn them to ashes.

There is no excuse to be focused down at 6km by ions, period, no matter the ship. So that comes down to my previous comment, that those that allow to be killed by ions from 6km are total brainless idioutus or bots. I am not sayng ions are bad, just you can not expect to focus down anything at 6km range

I fact I expect to focus them at 4,5 km and below, where I do full damage while most of the weapons are still in falloff or out of range.

Meh, bubbles are good in some situations and builds, but long range ions are epic in squads. 3 gunship with 6km ions focusing a ship in overdrive. It’s like the game trailer, they last 2 seconds.

different play styles my friend. 3 bubbles + engi is just as deadly as 3 ions + engi

3 bubbles +engi is pretty bad setup (anywhere outside of Beacon hunt, even then its all or nothing) while engi+3 ions is much better and more “versatile/adaptive”

again different play styles… 3 bubbles + fed engi can be used to get up close and personal with a large mob and then wreak havoc where as ions do the same thing at medium range. to say it is a bad setup is not right. it falls flat on it’s face when there is a map with 0 cover or you are faced with a massive inty ball, but even ions can’t deal with a massive inty ball. if you think it is a bad setup then you have not seen a good squad do it

Imho, command = long ion or gauss boat, you dont really want to get too close in one.

It depends on what you’re flying.  Often you want to be close to make it easier to stay out of their front.

One excuse, you’re “open” and their team has a much better sensor range than your team.  In the right situation, you can’t get behind an asteroid fast enough and you won’t see them to know to dodge.

Frigballs have a serious sensor range disadvantage.  They need at least one recon.

Really depends on the command you’re flying. I’ve preferred to fly most commands with singularity cannons because I find them uniquely suited to that weapon in combination with ion-beam warhead missiles (aoe disable + aoe weapon is just so much fun).

or my favorite option -> Rails with RoF ammo adn heatsinks on speed build so it can be used as gunship

try that on a tackler…

That bonus doesn’t affect special module (overdrive in this case)

yes it does depends which implat ur reffering to

Who said anything about implants… I was talking about ship bonuses (reloading rate)

My tiger II with 2700 dps likes this. I love that ship.

im not talking about reload

im not talking about reload

But some ships have their module reload rate increased so overdrive recharge may be only 45 or 30 seconds

Ahha not really about what i mean when i said not reaload i was talking about how on diemos 2 (example) says 15% faster reload but doesnt work on special mods
