What does the implant say itself? 

 

Missiles deal damage according to the damage type and to the part of the ship that is exposed whether or not its shields or hull.

Yeah, sorry about that. 

 

just checked, It applies mostly to hull. You need that implant if you are running an interceptor. Saved my life!
