my point at the beginning was simply that I believe bigger ships would slow the games flow down, the small ships would still be fast and mobile, but you would be giving more people the excuse to camp.
would be next to impossible to slow the game down if that were done, considering most of the match styles are about speed.
I could see Destroyers and Cruisers in this game, nothing else above that really… even tho im a fan of Carriers, and even then the Destroyers, Cruisers and the others would have to be on some form of open persistant space conquest type map(s) to fight over as it has been mentioned before

Yeah I agree there. Though I guess that all depends on from which perspective the game should be viewed.
Some could be more looking toward a more true inspiration of EVE, and hope for more capital ship developement, where others might just want to keep closer to an interceptor/fighter scheme.
I’m just of the mind that it’s possible to have a mix of both, without overflooding with one class or the other, and would like to see continued developement of additional ship classes, and done so without the sacrifice of any class’ relevance in the process.
At the onset of World of Tanks, folks questioned the concept of having heavy tanks with more armor, hp, firepower than medium tanks and said, “Well why would anyone play a medium tank then?”. When the reality became apparent that medium tanks did have a roll to fill, and were able to use what they were given ‘speed’ to exploit heavier tanks.
Being that the mechanics of this game operates much to that effect, there’s no reason to believe that it couldn’t be done.
