Ancient Modules V2

So remember back when the devs were obsessed with “ancient” items? Like Vulcan and those two ships? Well that was really cool and I think we need some more of that. Though I think we need some later items too.

 

Basically, I mean that along with old gatlings and howitzers and harpoons etc, we also need “ancient” present modules. Like a chance to loot an “outdated module” that performs like it did before it was changed. One famous example that I mean is the Mass Shield Generator and Nanodrone Cloud. Instead of being pulse heals, the old modules should just be toggles. Like the old static 300pts/s heals instead of having negligible 50pts/s heals with a burst every long while. Or a “Heavy Plasma” weapon that fired those massive bolts of high-damage plasma (that exploded?). Or Heavy Rails that fire like flak cannons but faster. Or other items from the game’s past. All things like this would be very welcome and add plenty of diversity to the game, as well as reward players who actually played the game, not just be something you can buy.

Same.

Charge up for greater range and power. Spam for fast close-range.

But it’ll totally be Kinetic.

And make it that because they are old and outdated they can only be upgraded to mk3 instead of mk4. And the “Mk5” blueprint they get just allows them to go up to mk4.

Good idea!

Pulse laser had significal spread (like 1.3 or something) but dealt enormous damage
Long range laser had 6km base range, but dealt like 800 something damage
Shrapnel didnt overheat and automatically gained gauss like charges increasing pellets and reducing spread
Rf Blaster didnt overheat at all
Gauss was just quantum rails with big range
All heavy weapon variants had reduced turret rotating speed.
