Lol ikr. The gargoyle and dart are both basically R15’s. Basically a free ride to the top of the eff leaderboard.

Oh you lucky one, be happy that it doesn’t was a Tgar’Ga with 75% DMG bonus and 50pts resistances like I had to face yesterday (damn Devs and their ‘Promo’ accounts)

Oh yeah Thar’ga is also broken, but Dart and Gargoyle are still pretty fcking OP. It just seems that anything new that’s put into the game that can be bought with real money is totally broken (recently).

Well while building an efficiant Thar’Ga requires a certain ammount of skill next to a lot of cash, Dart and most of All gargoyle are just horribly overpowered ships which have 9! (which is tier 5 level) passive slots and can participate in tier 3 battles. But the most annoying thing about Gargoyle is not, that it has 9 modifier slots its the Synergetic disintegrator along with the boson cannon which work against technically every ship class at an effecive range of over 12k and over 4k.

I think devs have plan to move Dart/Gargoyle to r11 during the incoming patch.

i would still emphasise on lots of cash - true, some with the cash might misfit it - but to be honest, with the powerful modules those things have, i think it still takes more to be more effective with the dart or gargoyle. so the thar ga tops them both.

why - i mean yeah, maybe thats a start - but does that really tackle the mechanics which make them so strong at all? thats rhetorical, the answer is no. I just mean, they do hopefully more over time :)

Thar’Ga is truly brutal only at close ranges, Dart and Garg are medium to long ranges, majority of players just cant close range.

I was more annoied by the fact that he had the rookie bonus then by the Thar’Ga. The same probably aplies also to Takamina’s Promo Accout

Very true, in survival (which would be great if it disappeared ) I find the garg to be the best possible ship.  

The Thar’ga with health regen and speed / dps build in close range I don’t know of a more dangerous ship in close range.  The dart trying to tank this ship does not work well for the dart.

Dont forget about the Thar’gas Matter Absorber. 8 sec invincibility, damage aura and instant heal. The combination with the 23 sec cooldown gives you a 15 sec window to kill it. But remember that he also has combat reboot, insane regeneration and a teleportation module. These ships are virtually unkillable. Its just beyond me, how anyone could come up with that and call it balanced.

Well, if people would be fair and not buy dart and garg like maniacs because they are not balanced, the devs wouldnt cram every single OP ability one ship for the same people to buy stuff all over again. It’s kinda a playerbase boomerang of doom if you ask me. DOn’t support what should not be supported but things are never that easy.

don’t need to move R11 , Dart and Gargoyle are pretty fine for R10 but they need quickly some nerf on their main new weapon and module . as example , harmony boost can stack critic no more than 50% or above .

Never gonna happen.  There are so many types of people out there what you’re asking for is impossible.

Example : Some people have less time to play games but they have money,  they cannot win against someone who has more time on their hands, however, they can purchase the new ships that have advantages. . .  on purpose to get a small edge for a short period of time.  These ships main weapons will get a nerf just like we have seen in the past.  And most likely after this nerf those players will look for something new that might help them get better / stay good.

I think the game developers / marketing understand how to get people to purchase shiney new ships and right now are excelling at it.  There is no doubt in my mind this trend will continue.  If not grow exponentially across many games not just SC. 

Right now . . . What would you rather buy the Eagle B, with major capacitor problems or a R9 thar ga, with the most build choices and customizations that I have ever seen. And highest dps against destroyers yet.

 

Well this post may be going a bit far from our starting thema but i think Stingray should be buffed. And to all of you guys who’d say now “hell no don’t buff that Stingrai its awfully OP already” i am not talking about a major buff. My point is why should stingray have 7 passive slots while any other rank 10 ships has 8 passive slots and two of them have 9?

I know, thats why i said it’s never that easy, it’s just, it kinda went overboard a bit.

Because it’s old. Just like an old car didn’t have an integrated gps!?!
