Not sure if this should’ve gone in the Q & A section or not, correct me if I’m wrong though…

After much time playing this game, I’ve always wondered where the design for the aliens ships (Biomorphs, Hunters, Predators, Destroyer, Defiler) come from or what they’re based off of. It’s clear to me they have a unique design, as I haven’t really seen it anywhere else before (or I’m just that naive), so I was just curious… are the aliens’ design heavily/loosely based off something popular? Or are they completely made from scratch?

I’d just like to know where the creative designs in this game are influenced from, for example, the Caltrop reminds of a TIE Fighter, and Dreadnoughts are like Star Destroyers.

Anyway, continue the good graphic designing, it’s definitely caught my eye :slight_smile:

Well let’s see

  • The biomorphs are just infected Katanas and Inquisitors

  • The Defilers are Eve Amarr Oracles with a new skin

  • The Destructors are Shadow crabs and Vorlon cruisers from Bab 5 having a xxxxxxx child.

  • Hunters and Predators, these two looks really new for me, I didn’t find anything close to them in other series/games.

Those are ships that someone spilled coffee over their projects, or drawed on heavy weed.
