the AI ships following a convoi often starts to do this, they jump up and down. i got many more screenshots of it, but this should do.
This is afaik lag related, it can happen to you too or to any other player.
thats a sync (positions were out of date, de-synced, usually lag), the ships are moved, and graphically, you can still see their trails moving from your last known position to the real one.

so i have 60 ping and this happends wich i never seen before in any other game mode?
i dont see this in pvp when i got 500-900 ping if im uploading something “on bots”
this doesn’t happend in pve either with 200-900 ping
but it happends in invasion with 60 ping

open world is more sensible to ping (or the instances themselves have computing issues, hard to tell). could be myriads of reasons, which i could only guess. not saying, it should not be adressed, but the effects are perfectly explainable.
syncs can happen also rapidly after each other. you would see them jumping, while at the same time moving short distances relatively.
Sometimes I have huge lag with 40 ping. It’s normal.

You can see this in normal PVP as well with e.g. a recon warping. Depending on server it takes several seconds before you finally get a synchronized position.

I can say this can happen everywhere by normally crash into each other but is really rare, Some mounts ago in PvP i was caught up in this like feels like a whirlwind, i was going for a straight ahead against a interceptor funny though as i was in a gunship
Inpact took place on were the pilot is sitting in my ship and then … yeah don’t have any prove but i have experience it so far i can tell
