add special pirate cargo transaction/exchange drone in Fort Muerto

This suggestion or proposal is simple.

I would like to ask the developers that they add the Special Pirate Cargo Exchange drone , which would act as any normal cargo drone, but when you would send some items of interest, you would get repaid by an artifacts. Same would apply for the blueprints exchange. There will be 2 Pirate Cargo Exchange drones in Fort Muerto.

This special Pirate’s cargo drone is a platform, with enables you to do business with the Pirates.

You need to pay some credit fee for each service. 20% in this case, instead of regular 10% for the service.

Example:

I just obtained T5 Mark V Ion Emitter and I got no people who want it, since they are all off-line.

I approach the Special Pirate cargo transaction/exchange drone and after I send my stuff, I immediately get a new replacement item in my inventory.

It’s basically an exchange drone.

Exchange rates:

T5 weapon blueprint - 350 artifacts

T5 module blueprint - 300 artifacts

T5 pirate module blueprint - 250 artifacts

T4 weapon blueprint - 200 artifacts

T4 module blueprint - 150 artifacts

T4 pirate module blueprint - 100 artifacts

Note: This would encourage people to buy a Spatial Scanner.

Only the drone’s description should get changed, while it’s still at least visually the same.

There will be 2 of them.

Each of them should stay away from each other by 600 or 900 meters to avoid confusion.

1st drone: Pirate “Iridium exchange” cargo drone

2nd drone: Pirate “Blueprint exchange” cargo drone

You also pay for the services: 20% of from the total cost of a blueprint, regardless of which drone you used.

Respawn time of the drones is 1 minute. They should be located on the top of Fort Muerto, away from hostile Pirates.

You approach them both, like any normal drone within 300 meters to send the cargo.

Term exchange means some kind of trade with Black Market Traders/Pirates, which remotely use them to ensure anonymity between the client and a customer.

1st option would be easier to implement, since after you send the proper cargo (blueprints only), you get instantly iridium in your cargo slots, if they are available.

2nd option would require additional coding, so that you can get some additional “drone interface”, which resembles the cargo slots from your ship as well.

I think that cargo slots availability should be “mirrored”. It meant to say, if you got 5 cargo spots , the cargo drone should have 5 cargo spots as well.

I think that the best way would be to open Universal Workshop Interface , where you could select any blueprint directly in Open Space/Invasion , but it would only be possible to use Manufacture option if you have some other kind of T5 mark V, which is either a weapon/module blueprint for exchange. After player uses such interface, he is under station protection. It cannot be killed.

There are restrictions:

example: (T5 example)

T5 exchange for a T5 blueprint.

T5 weapon blueprint for a T5 weapon blueprint of your desired choice.

T5 module blueprint for a T5 module blueprint of your desired choice.

Another possibility:

I think that the best option would be that you mark the desired blueprint in your Workshop , before you depart from the Station.

If you’re lucky enough, to get a T5 blueprint (weapon/module) then you can just go to the proper Pirate Cargo Transaction/Exchange Drone and just send it and automatically receive the blueprint instantly.

You can press C to open cargo interface to put your item (blueprint) in it. Then you would request exchange in the upper part of such drone and then press C again to send it.

and/or

OBSOLETE/QUESTIONABLE

We get the exchange window, where we can select the missing blueprints, but we pay a full price for it + additional 20% for the service.

T5 weapon blueprint in exchange for another/different T5 weapon blueprint of different type (900000 credits + 20% (180000 for the service) = 1080000 credits total

Pirate Drone should be on top of Fort Muerto,  or in some location, when enemy Pirates do not patrol.

Now we got 2 options:

For the only item I sent (example:T5 mark V Ion Emitter blueprint) I can also exchange it for something else, but there are 2 requirements.

Must be of the same tier and it must be a weapon blueprint.

I do not know at this time, if karma should affect such feature. (-1, -5, +1, +5).

Pirate drone can also accepts T4/T5 blueprints and based on that, it gives you a high amount of Iridium only. Basically this drone trades blueprints for artifacts/iridium only.

This means there will be 2 drones present at the same time.

However, we can go further and with some additional programming skills and effort. We can bring some T5 module or weapon blueprints and ask for exchange, instead of just artifacts.

Please, comment and add your own suggestions.

Reason for edit: Additional information and post expansion.

                          Voting poll added as well.

The first portion of the suggestion is better~

Yeah i like the 1st part of this suggestion, only would maybe have the pirate’s platform in each center zone and not just the fort. Lest that single zone become an area where some wait to harvest artifacts. Would cetainly make things a little more interesting ‘out there’

Would also give some sort of use for duplicate BPs as it is at the moment its just credits, which if it came down to cargo space would be ditched in favour of finding a mono or artifacts as they both more useful and rare.

But no i dont support the idea of trading BPs via this drone. It would take a dedicated team all of about 2/3 hours or so to get every BP in the game an i think its only fair that others have to search hard or have a good friend too.

Then it is settled.

1st part of the suggestion should be considered.

Thank you.

No offense intended but just 2 random players said they like the 1st part of the suggestion, that doesn’t mean it should be considered xD

This forum is built on a graveyard. There is not much people left to speak off! xD

The rest were burried long time ago.

I get a decent amount of artefacts from PVP, I don’t really need more. (well I always need more artefacts, but the artefact income seems on parr with the voucher income.)

Anyway you know what the answer is to any question about the economy of the game, and this change would directly affect the economy.

First part sounds nice, but I dont think the drone should be stationed only in Fort Muerto since it’s a red zone and the middle of SC’s universe, my guess is that ppl only would pirate and farm…

I dont think the latter part where u are given opportunity to “buy” or exchange a Mk5 bp is a good idea… the grinding part in this game can be a pain yes, yet I wouldn’t have it any other way I think. BPs should be rare… I still haven’t got them all, but I think it’s ok. Means I have something to look forward to… And sometimes, a friend might give u a present  :001j:

Good point.

Thank you for your feedback.

sorry, does it mean you get iridium instead of the module, or both?

Only Iridium for the blueprint design exchange, the one you sent to Pirates via Fort Muerto cargo/exchange drone.

ok, got it

please elaborate how to identify those drones

player may want to have the BP OR the iridium - how to ensure they use proper drone?

Well, I wanted to make both choices, but since some people are against it, I marked the 2nd part of a suggestion as obsolete.

I still think it’s the best choice to have both options.

We don’t need to complicate matters.

Forwarded to the developers?

answer my questions at first :stuck_out_tongue:

Have to say that it sounds really interesting! and it turned out that currently we have an idea of creating in the future a hangar inside the pirate station which possibly will deal with the exchange processes. We can’t name any time boundaries yet, but if this idea breaks through we will definitely use ur suggestion.
