Much appreciated for answer

Dang… I thought you provided actual help. Did you just say thank you to yourself?

i am 90% sure u can’t strafe and get the benefit of adaptives

Heard somewhere on the forums that Imperial intys can have strafe speeds that exceed their normal forward speed.

Maybe on Leonina and King Nibelung you could put x3 Inertial Stabilizer and x3 Armor Plated Hull and have more strafe speed than forward speed. But Leonina has no shield slot for Adaptative  :005j:

Seriously. Snib knows how but he isn’t here. He said he knows how anyways. Please provide answer.

Inertial stabilizers, armor plated hulls, and the Cheetah implant.  With upgraded modules you should be able to do it with a Jarl.  My math gets up to 108% of forward speed, and adaptive needs 110%.  I don’t want to use loyalty for it so you’ll have to try for yourself.  Just use a custom battle and check your logs to know.

You can usually strafe in one direction and keep adaptives up, but two doesn’t work quite as well for most ships.

Jrisom can’t you look at your ship trail and find out that way as well?

ok suppose your max speed (which is speed without AB) is 400. you have a strafe of 100.

How will this affect your current speed without AB? will it go to 350? 300?

Ask the devs, or ask Snib.

If you have time to wait and care, figure it out yourself, no offense.  You might possibly find a ship that can do that while maintaining decent energy stability.

Anyone know cyber CPR?

there was a discussion on this half a year ago or so. people seem to think it is done on your speed going forward and strafe speed does not count. but i am not a dev and can’t confirm this

This is what Snib was talking about. You can go forward at full AB speed, strafe in one direction and still having adaptative shields working on.

This is quite useful for circling stuff in a covert ops.

We definitely need an icon to say when adaptive is active and the formula of how it is calculated if it work or not.
