This is the first time i heard someone saying, fed fighters in T5 were OP. srsly.
Is this true?
nope xD their hit box is huge. the tacklers are decent but not op

Any recommendations on a replacement shield module? I’ve been told do a regular resist mod, but I’m not sure about what resistance to do. (For Kite and Valor)

Thermal. Most of the people is using Pulse Lasers/Ion Emitters/Beam Cannon/Heavy Blasters. I barely see Railgun/Positron/Sharpnel users. Some Bubbles and Mortars from time to time.

Yeah… They need to not make them the size of a crusader S… Its kinda silly lol
Alright so here are some numbers to chew on
This is only to show difference in RAW tanking, i.e. how much dmg does it take to take you down, these numbers ignore speed, rotation , target hit box, purpose on the map, effect of modules.
Both ships have SMALL HULL booster module included into base HP pool to simplify understanding, so ignoring possible drones on you and disables.
Both of these builds are fairly “conventional” where some prefer more speed on BS or more agility on Kite rather than speed, some put pylons it all depends,
i don’t have Gigas2 on both of these ships as well
Black Swarm
Kite
(Black Swarm top and Kite bottom)
Nice numbers xKostyan! Thanks!
Also, this was my double adaptive build on the tackler back when the adaptives stacked. It was pretty mean.
42+42=84. Now add 84 to both shield and hull resistances shown. Also note the near 9k hull HP, speed, and navigation stats. I’d say that is just as tanky, if not more than empire fighters. As long as you can keep your speed up, you can tank a fair amount in this thing. And as I stated before: multipurpose, loosing shields, and cloaking are all ways of escaping being slowed down in sticky situations.
Federation tacklers are OP if you know what you are doing. Just wait a month or two for my Corp to grind all the equipment they need.

efefyaay
still keep grinding teamplay more than items, guys, more important!
@xKostyan:
why do you enter 9200 hull points for your black swarm, if it has 7428 on the screenshot
i have to study that excel sheet more deeply i just dont understand that atm.

Small Hull Booster mk4 T3 is 1772 Hull points
Small Hull Booster mk4 T3 is 1772 Hull points
ah now i get it, and the whole excel aswell…
hm including that is however REALLY theoretical

Yes and no
Theoretical in a sense that one must ignore a lot of game factors in case of Adaptive tanking, including pilots experience, weapon he uses, opponents he is facing etc etc etc. But for regular build, these numbers are exactly how much of particular dmg you can take before you blow up, as i mentioned earlier dodge is empirical value that can not be properly measured in this game, but from personal experience flying on these ships and against, hitting well flown very agile Fed inty that can go 550+ is exponentially harder than a ~450 empire interceptors, and that comes from current weapon properties, average speeds of other ships, presence of specific ships with buffs, the map layout and so on, then we have disables, and then we have counters to disables and so on.
Huh. That’s different. I never thought to build a tackler that way.
Alright, I see how in certain situations the Adaptive Shield can make the Federation ships very effective at tanking damage. So yes, halving the amount by which the Adaptive Shield module buffs hull resistance seems like a decent way to go.
Also, where did you get the Raven sticker?

It was from one of the DLCs. I can’t remember which one. I want to say the mercenary, but idr
