CORP had over 3000 before the logos were introduced.  It has kept growing.  NASA, ESB, and NOVA all had 3000 at the time.  Now CSA also has over 3000 Iridium also!

 

Think of it this way, fewer CORP members with Mk.IV.  Anyone know what happens after a corp buys a dreadnought?  If it gets destroyed do they have to start all over again?

 

As for Alpha, I just don’t know.

 

CORP has been over 3000 so long that it’s bound to have drawn attention from the devs.  If it was a bug or an exploit it would have been fixed.

They did not have 3000 at the day logos were released, i am almost 90% sure!

1st. I’m a Corp Pilot, have been for a good couple of months maybe and I only signed up to this forum to reply to this topic.

 

2nd. We had 3000 refined artifacts / iridium when logo’s went live. I thought we/they did. I may have been wrong, as Dagget later said after I posetd this, but it was very close to 3000 at that time if not exactly :slight_smile:

 

3rd. Even though some of us mentioned to our CEO that we should submit a logo, he never did, no one did. No one bothered…

 

4th. When our CEO bought our logo, the nuke sign thing, he chose that himself, our iridium ranking page figure never changed, it did NOT reduce by 1500 (logo cost) in the ranking.

 

5th. BUT, if you look in our in game corporation tab, it showed 1500 less than the rank page does. (so 1500/3000 refined).

 

6th That is still the case today, the iridium ranks page show 1500 more than our in game Corp page does. Everytime we refine some iridium, that figure goes up further over the 3000 on the ranks page, but our in game corp page is still counting TOWARDS 3000.

 

Lastly: I am so happy that so many of you chose to suggest that we, The Corp, are cheating, or glitching, or what ever other dishonest way you suggest we are operating.

I am happier still to inform you that we are not.

 

If you know of a way to glitch/bug/cheat the iridium ranks, please let us all know, infact, please just let the Devs know…

 

Do you honestly think that The Devs are not aware of what the players can or cannot get up to ?

 

Most of you commenting in this topic are regular players with many matches under your belt, if there are glitches to be found, I am sure you would have found them and reported them as such,

just like and corporation player would, ANY Corporation player.

 

 

 

I have had a browse through these forum pages in the past, and I see much hostility towards “The Corp”, along with the suggestion that we are all the same. it’s sad that you all base your

presumption on the comments of our (mostly absent) CEO, he doesn’t, in the greater sense, represent how we all are, there are many of us who just team up, and chat away for a few games, and that is it.

I haven’t spoken with our CEO in weeks, he doesn’t even play now, well if he does, it is not on that account.

 

I’m in The Corp, because I made a few friends there, we still play together, No one made us a better offer and it beats playing on your own :stuck_out_tongue:

Too long to quote, but it’s nice to know that you and others from your corporation ain’t like that (well, fyi I’m friend with a member of your corp), and if the Iridium amount is only a graphical bug, then it’s nothing to worry about. But, you must understand that no developer has never said anything about that in order to make it clear for the rest of the players.

I’m pretty sure it’s not an exploit. My guess is this:

 

The corp reached closed to 3000 iridium before logos were released. But let’s just say that they reached 3000. They purchased a non-premade logo, which costs what, 1500 iridium? that gives them a total of 1500 iridium in corporation, but still a total of 3000 collected all time, which is what I believe the scoreboard is calculating. So yes, it says above 3000 iridium, but that’s total owned over the entire time, and they have yet to get back to their cap at 3000.

 

Also, why does Alpha refuse to reach 3000? They’ve been sitting at 12 needed for months.

Well, I would love to give you a screen shot, not that it will change anything, but I can’t, as I have just been kicked, by a recently made officer for dissagreeing with him in corp chat…

(He called us all idiots for fighting in our last sector, the last one we won, as seemingly we have an agreement with BOJ to fight on one side of the map, them the other, I/we know nothing about this ~“agreement”),

Anyway, he called us all idiots and we should listen to him, I merely stated that he is wrong to call us all idiots, he doesn’t have any right to say that about us, repeatedly, as we are not, so he kicked me, sadly he is just a kid, and now a kid with power to kick, I did not know that officers could kick, I thought that was only for CEO… I’ve been in that Corp longer than him,  I was invited by MassDeath himself, even though I only started playing 1st Aug, between that and not earning enough credits with a license, I no longer feel like playing, kinda pathetic end really…)

I feel sad for you, that kind of things (putting a mere child as officer) aren’t speaking well about the inside management. Anyways, welcome to the freelancers :stuck_out_tongue:

To work out how many Iridium they DO have, just remove 1500 from that total, and you will have it exactly for that moment.

 

(Apart from a few members who I played with and respect, they rest can all go feck themselves.)

Yes, this is why I mentioned they did not have 3k at the launch, because it was being questioned. It was only a hundred or so off. 

 

The CEO did not participate in the forum event however, so the corp had to pay for the ability to use a logo. Going along with what you said.

 

I remember you as well, I am sorry you encountered a poor officer. I cant say I knew any of the officers except one that talked sometimes.

Hey Astraal, I’ve been aware for a while how some of you feel about Corp, I have read these forums from time to time since I started playing 1st August, I just never created a log in until today to say anything :012j:

I know this thing is clear now, but since I bought the logo as ceo for my own corp, which we reached in at the event, (and not everybody could actually see that menu), I can confirm, it explicitly said “0 Iridium” as cost for your self submitted logo, so it was definitely free.

Ah, you see, but THE CORP, did not submit anything to that event, so THE CORP had to pay for their logo, it was not free, hence why they paid 1500 iridium for theirs, and hence why they are still counting back up to 3000 again to reach their refined logo cap.

The figure on the iridium rankings page, is the TOTAL iridium they have refined SO FAR, not how much they currently have. If the cap on currently refined artifacts is 3000, their rank will stop when they get to 4500 of total iridium refined.

So lets make it clear: leaderboard shows the amount of iridium that corporation collected since its foundation. 

 

The limit is still 3000 but corporation may have spent some ot its iridium and gain it again. 

As a result we can see 3000+n iridium, where n is the amount of newly collected iridium.
