I’ve re-installed the game a week ago to re-check it after 2+ years break. It turned out “vs AI” mode is actually fun since there aren’t any losses and I could progress from rank 5 to rank 10 in a week. It was exciting - even though a bit grind-y.
So I’ve decided to purchase max DLC package (to purchase spatial scanner, bigger cargo, etc) but before doing so I’ve asked myself - do I really enjoy the game? And answer is firm “no way”: outside of “vs AI” mode - which obviously will be “fixed” soon to be on par with the rest of the game - 75% of both PvE and PvP missions are losses (3 out of 4), my attempts to do stuff in open space PvP zones in r10 tackler result in me being 1-2-shot by tier-5 player ships - even cloak doesn’t help because players disable it.
So nope, I’ll take my money elsewhere until I’ll see easier PvE and better PvP matchmaking. So long and thanks for all the fish.
Ignore the Troll. All you gotta do is get with a decent squad. Given someone like myself could solo pretty much every R1-12 mission, you should have no problems. ^^
It’s just Rank 13-15 that you will always have problems with. In the case of them simply play PvP or something.
80% of the time, if you lose, it’s because your team sucked, so don’t get any harsh feelings towards it yet.
if you want to push yourself and always win star coflict is wrong for you! any online game is wrong. and pve is very easy i dont see how there are 75 % loses… also in pvp…

But only you have either a specific scenario picked, a certain ship or a specific way to control the bots.
5+ mins spending in beacon capture in captured dreadnought isn’t funny…
Beacon capture in its self is awful. Any beacon match that isn’t beacon hunt is awful. So. Really. Cmon. And if you don’t pick a scenario that you are equipped for/know has decent rewards, what are you doing in PvE anyways?
Also, you can’t control PvP in any way. What is your point?

You don’t know how a scenario can be performed with a new ship/class. For this you need practice and understatement how the things work. Even ranks can make a huge difference. With R5 you have barely the power as with R8+.
Maybe I should have written that I’m only speaking about PvE. PvP isn’t something I play(out of the destroyermissions now). Vs. Ai is boring.

I’ve played every scenario with every class. I hated it some times because some classes were awful for the selected scenario. Is this what you are trying to say?
If so, might I suggest not playing with what you hate-- oh, right. The devs forced that on new players now. Well shucks.

If you play something 100 of times, you know what, when and why happen.
If you use the same ship 100 of times, you know what you can do with it, how you can manoeuvre and what perform good.
You can give an easy advice with your gained experience, but not everyone have it, use the same ships and isn’t so skilled(whould I say depending how you wrote about it).

Rageous. Instead of saying the same thing in a bunch of threads across the forums, howabout you DM one of the devs? They will be happy to talk it out with you. Just try to to be too harsh. Xp

I often see this from begginer players…i wonder why xD If you have any constructive feedback (instead of just cursing), doors are open for you to do it. You could also start getting feedback about your performance…
So, try the Jericho Guard line of ships, They can go thru almost any PvE single handedly. The issue may not be you but simply how far you are from a decent server. Bigger slower ships tend to deal with these issues better.
Again, the NA vets HAVE contacted the devs, only to be ignored and talked xxxx to. As for calling me a new player, ive been here longer than most, on 4 accts. now, and my performance is nothing short of spectacular. Doubling+ the # of total team kills suggests i’m doing something right.
