3D Model of SSF-15 "Phoenix"

Pirate engineers worked very hard creating the frigate. Initially it used to be a Styx, though proving it seems to be rather impossible. Phoenix was equipped with non-standard engines, an improved power supply system and a thicker hull. The bridge of the ship has been expanded and equipped with a broader overview screen. This ship is not welcome in Imperial space, as these machines used to lead the largest pirate raids, and are associated with pirate leaders.

This is the proof that pirates are dumb. They take a Styx, one of the best ships without doubt on T3, and change it to a mediocre Engineer that:

a) Has a worse “power supply system”

b) Has thinner hull

If it only had 6 weapons like the 3D model…

I always assumed Pirates had to improvise; the Phoenix is what you get when you just don’t have the parts to rebuild a Styx properly.

They are pirates. They take a scavenged ship of the line and repair and modify it to their tastes.

I assume the Phoenix went like this.

“We put a hole in the engine block.”

“Lets patch it up with carbon foil and put a hemi in it!”

At least this game isn’t 100% realistic. Otherwise it would’ve gone something like this.

“Why don’t we put a huge-xxxx glass cockpit. That sounds like a great idea!”

In the first battle:

“Sh*t! The pilot and copilot are dead. A random coil mortar hit went straight through the glass and exploded inside!”

It’s the mook’s law that protects them. Why do Jericho ships die so easy? No cockpit = no visible pilot = no personality = mook who won’t live past the end of this sentence.

Got more of those where they came from.

Cheaper than the galvanized “hull” that would be used to cover the plexiglass windows.
