This ship was adopted by Imperial regular fleets after several attempts to capture a remote yet strategically

important outpost of the Federation. Back then the imperial troops actively used the outdated ‘Cerberus’, and could not hit enemy interceptors from afar. As a result, the Imperial forces were defeated. It was then that the Imperial fleets started receiving the latest ‘Atlas’. Pilots were able to appreciate the new generation of disintegrators with enlarged energy systems.
With the next attack the Federation attack was successfully captured.

That ship is a beast, yet not frequently used… With a crit beam cannon the dps can reach same levels as BD. In fact, the only difference between BD and atlas, is that atlas has lower range.
