20% Cov Op module effect bonus not being applied to certain modules

post-213904-0-39423500-1411820265.jpg

Example

20% Cov Op modules effect bonus on ships is not being applied at all to White Noise or Adaptive Camo. However they’re being applied correctly when R10 Jericho implant (WPN-FS3) is used, giving White Noise 17.2 seconds duration (from 14.3 seconds) and Adaptive Camo 24 seconds duration (from 20 seconds). Bonus is also not being applied to Self-Destruct but only for initial damage.

Note that the bonus is being applied correctly to Orion or Plasma Arc.

Can you check more modules, to see, what else is broken? I am sure this isn’t the only bug related to implants. There might be more.

Thanks for letting us know.

As I wrote above, White Noise, Adaptive Camo and Self-Destruct. Rest are working fine.

It’s just wrong not to let 20% Covert Ops modules effect bonus applied to certain modules. Literally neutering the bonus there.

This bug isn’t even related to implants…

I’ll ask if this is working as intended or a bug just to make sure.

Long time ago it used to affect Orion and Plasma Arc. Not sure about duration of Jam, but probably not.

Now it only affects Orion, so I rather play ships with 20% cooldown reduction instead. Less Alpha strike with orion, but more frequent. Also camo reloads faster.

But I agree it should at least increase Plasma Arc.

It does work with Plasma Arc. It doesn’t work with White Noise, Adaptive Camo and Self-Destruct.

there is a slight difference in the wording:

  • the covert ops modifier applies to “module effect”, which does not include “duration” (it is even more weird for recons, as there is only one module that actually has a variable effect - everything else is either on or off)

  • the R10 implant changes “module parameters”, which seems to apply to both “duration” and “effect” (maybe it is supposed to change all those values that change when the module is upgraded?)

Well dev Q&A says it works (or they claim it works), so I am guessing it is a bug.

I think you did not the sarcasm of Skula

He did not what?

White noise is 20% more effective, it doesn’t last 20% longer.  That’d be a different bonus.

The Wakizashi AE has an explicit duration bonus for instance.

How do you consider a 20% more effective White Noise Jammer? It’s only stats are duration and range.

He also said that the adaptive camo lets you stay invisible on 120% of the enemy radar range. You best bet that’s sarcasm.

It blocks your target from 120% of their team’s radar instead of 100%.  How else?

Doesn’t seem to block 120% tbh. It should also affect other enemy nearby the target, by giving that extra 20% off.
