The UMC continues to talk about current events in the Star Conflict universe. The history of fringe sectors is being made before our very eyes.

The outpost was designed as a kind of checkpoint for the only safe transit route out of the Procssima system. With each year, the location’s defences have had to be increased due to the growing threat from Cybers and the significance of the nearby Gas Harvest Station.
During the war, little was left of the outpost itself. Mendes’ observation point is now located in this spot, advantageous for scanning the space. But cybers don’t give up either. From time to time, the Outpost is subjected to so-called “test” strikes.
The Cybers’ objectives are not completely clear. Mendes regularly hires mercenaries to eliminate Cyber scouts and study the remnants of their memory blocks. These blocks are then examined by Mendes. And they don’t like to share the obtained data with the UMC.
The attacks of the Cybers have become more frequent recently. Special observers, who avoid combat are often being spotted in the zone. It is extremely difficult to neutralize them. Perhaps it is related to the increasing traffic of convoys to the Gas Harvest Station. For mercenaries, this is another opportunity to make good money by being hired to protect these convoys from Cybers.
It is also possible that the Cybers and their observers are interested in local ores. Mendes themselves practically do not mine any minerals there. It is possible that the Cybers are looking for particularly rare minerals that can only be found there.
