i agree, T1 was crap, you can’t do anything with 2 active mods
at T2 you can get a nice mix of either offensive or defensive mods, so fittings start to play an important role.
Didn’t get any further pvp-wise (not counting T3 PvE i’m doing atm).
So IMHO (and my humble experience), T2 is the best of the pvp this game has to offer.
T3 can be challenging and fun also, problem is we don’t have enough people and you end up seeing the same nicks again and again.
Another point is, Intys play a fair role in T3 but Frigates dominate so some balance would be required.
I’m doing PVE for the moment, gathering credits for my T3 frigate’s fitting, and experimenting in general with the fits and ships, there’s no point in going into T3 without a decent fit.
Also T2 provides people with decent creds and experience for further levels, and you can take your time to gather Rep with the Faction and Loyalty with the subfactions so that you get at least some MKIII Blue mods when you hit tier 3.
Are the people who are saying loyalty progression is fine getting compensation for saying that? Loyalty progression is not fine. This game would be worth paying for again if they’d just roll it back 2 months.
I keep checking these forums and patch notes hoping progression gets fixed because the game was pretty cool (and worth paying the premium for) until they arbitrarily decided that all loyalty progression and credit progression is to cease.

my frig has mostly mk2-items and a few green ones but it doesn’t help much. people on t3 seem to be dumber than on t2, it’s more deathmatching than everything else and really annoying. i want to fly my anaconda-m in pvp but it’s no fun and flying t2 doesn’t help to get to t4

You meen the zerg swarms that come at you and completely ignore the objectives? I’ve had the pleasure to meet some… taking a Frigate and waiting before rushing the spot where they concentrate seems to be the best option for crowd control so far.
Pulsar, mine field and let the guns blaze the eventuall survivors… works like a charm if your team is smart enough to back you up and take the objective.
Other then that i fully agree with you… seems more like a deathmatch / campfest then anything else.

“good” example is beacon hunt: everyone flies to the first beacon, we fight, maybe we get it, maybe not, the 2nd beacon comes online, ~4-5 of 12 move to the beacon while the rest stays at the first beacon and deathmatches with 3 or 4 enemies. means: on the 2nd beacon it’s like 5vs9 sometimes. same thing is for other game-types. suddenly there is a ball of people deathmatching in the middle of nowhere
yes, when you go to PvP, the MM only uses your stronges/highest ship while the MM for PvE gives you a bit control about your level (t2-scenario with t3-ship if you add 2 t2-ships in your setup). and it’s good this way,

Exactly, otherwise you could just exploit the MM and take T4 into T2 or T2 battles.
But some people forget that queueing up with a T4 player will instantly make the whole squad ranked to T4 in the queue.
