Also for those that plan to build a ship: max synergy on as many of the rank ships as possible. You must use the exact rank at maximum synergy.
Carrying more ships of that rank gives higher chance to get parts.
For example: If you plan to build the Brokk, carry 3-4 ships of rank 13 for maximum chance to get parts for it. If you plan to build the Stingay, carry only ships of rank 10, and so on.
This applies to destroyer parts as well.

You need these ships to have maximum synergy AND be placed in combat slots. Ships in your hangar do not count.
For example, if you had a default chance to get parts of 15% with one rank 10 ship, carrying one more would give you a 30% chance, carrying two more would give 45%, chance, and so on.
these numbers are simply examples, and have no significance in game as actual drop chances.
