Ya It also keeps us from spamming beacons with mines to clear them of drones, makes you use a nuke or something powerful to insta unlock a beacon.
Meh, trophy chasers are worse, the captains in the interceptor that want that cap eat cap trophy. Or guys who go where the enemy is suppose to the beacons because they want kills or buff assists. The more weird contracts have a heck of a timer on them which makes me not rush them.
the only weakness is vs hull guard frigs, and thats why you get piercing missiles.

Yes I can see that. It took me two days of playing to settle on long range frigate as a ship that will likely have a permanent slot. I get lots of kills in that thing. Of course it does require some finesse (hiding properly), and once someone finds me I’m pretty much dead, although due to the distance they have to travel to come get me and the thick hull I can usually pop another red dot before I die.
On topic, I’ve found so far that most of the contracts can be done passively (without really thinking about it).
