Things i’m looking for to find more of are the 12 rare trophies that gives you a achievement for finding them all, blueprints and just in general high value loot/iridium.
It may help finding the 12 trophies as it points you towards all loot stashes, but this all boils down to RNGsus, same for blueprints and high value loot. It won’t help you find iridium, just kill stuff in open space to get this.
I do find it useful for making credits, but that is dependant on how many people are in open space farming crates, if there are a lot out there then it will take longer to find crates as you will be waiting for them to respawn.

As it is, the credit income is comparable to what you get for playing a little PvP.
Just killing transports outside of stations can reward decent iridium and part rewards, but cash and BPs are best found in high-level sectors.

If only you could do that without tanking your karma beyond repair.
Might as well post a relevant question i have in here.
Seeing the Spatial Scanner is on sale right now, is it worth it to buy the Spatial Scanner even with the nerfs that Invasion has received or is it pretty much useless now even with the 50% discount? If i buy it, it’s pretty much gonna deplete the last of my GS that i have and it probably will be the last GS that i’ll spend on the game so i want to make a informative decision before i buy it.
The 12 items needed for the achievement can also drop from regular "Blackwood Corporation" Containers plus any other source found around the sectors. Unfortunately however the value of the loot you are after was also nerfed beyond compare as a Tech insignia alone used to be worth I think it as around 100-150k (needs checking), it is now worth 40k credits. Barely enough to repair your ship.
Might I also add that the mysterious containers can drop loot with pre-nerf values so the spacial scanner can be used to *slightly* quicken the grind for new gear and ships.

But not significantly, as the vast majority of loot is comprised of CPUs (100k credits), some crafting materials (less than 10k credits), or useless blueprints (which cost you credits and don’t give you anything).
As many sayed before: T5 BP are really rare (specially for weapons) and instead you get the useless T4 pirate stuff (wich you can make 20k profit if you dock with them at hangar :005j:). If you spend 30 mins or so you will get a few lightcells, some 15k vouchers and…theres nothing else important to name; any way, a really low drop compared to what it used to be prenerf. How invasion is atm with spat scanner it kinda goes the same to PVE: you can choose to earn synergy while shooting ships and buildings or fly more “relaxed” to get the same amount of credits and vouchers but without that synergy gain (oh, you have to pay GS to be able to do that).
I already got all T5 BPs (weapons and modules), so no more BPs means less credit income…i wonder how new players will get mk5 stuff :alien1:
+5. It’s pretty bonkers how useless invasion is now.
If the quests are designed to get people to fly together (and let’s face it, most of the quests need multiple people or some absurd camping) a good justification in the past was that the group could farm loot during/after the missions. There’s no incentive to do this now. If daily sector rewards can give away such high iridium counts, why can’t we get that in an hour or so of open space grinding? It’s already pretty hard for non-endgame players to get resources. Open Space was a decent answer to this before the nerf.
We really need our worthwhile loot back. Monocrystals are only enough incentive to keep people out there for all of five minutes. How often do you actually take the kill-a-predator quest? How much more likely would you be to do so if you had a few friends going with you?
About Invasion and blueprints:
I already [suggested](< base_url >/index.php?/topic/27902-mark-5-invasion-exclusive-blueprints-in-the-workshop-should-be-available-with-iridium-currency/) some improvements.
