Switching phase shield types takes like what? Half a second? You don’t need an instant MP changer.
When I first starting playing the guard was the most confusing of all the ship roles. I read but I didn’t understand. Now when you go to lower tiers new players don’t use MP effectively and guard bots end up being the most effective.
Using anomaly generator is a lot of fun though. In invasion my corpmates would fly in front of real players while they were shooting AIs so the real player would become the aggressor and we would destroy them real quick. I use anomaly generator on moving targets like frigates or fighters. Fighters need more skill and you have to judge where to put the crosshair ahead of the targeting reticle. Interceptors are just impossible to use anomaly generator unless they plan to face tank you…
Tacklers eat those adaptive guards for breakfast. Engine enhibitors on other guards ruin those adaptive guards too, as well as the slowing missiles on recons. They are hardly a threat anymore.
Only buff i think guards need is to increase the base shield regen rate.
In direct fight this wont be much benefit, but they will recover from the fight much faster… after all they have lot more shield to repair after fight than any other ship type

IF the problem is exactly the same as it was back when the topic was first made, then yes, you can keep using this thread.
My point was, and still is, that since this post was created back in January, ships have undergone major changes. So the mechanics are not the same as when this post was first made. Given that point, it may be better to create your own new post with current statistics and continue a discussion from there.

The guards mechanics were not modified / Changed.
No new weapon.
No new module.
No new ship modifier.
In fact nothing directly changed for the Guards (or maybe bugged Shield Hitbox for the Tormentor? And few Quantity on Shield/Hull). No massiv Impact while others game mechanics have been introduced / buffed.
