Btw I don’t agree that using weapons can still grant you inv. And charging a weapon is still using it. That’s against the whole invisible module concept. 

Start charging, go inv and then release the trigger just to spoil the damage buff, sounds like something that is against the whole point: “you can’t use modules or weapons or missile etc while invisible”. 

No this is a valid tactic that I used a lot! It’s using the cloak agressively instead of only for running away. Either way, I know it was possible before, and something has changed, so it is definitely a bug (since no mention in patch notes).

Tecnically you are right about the description not saying that you have a couple of seconds where you can take damage while cloacking and it will not interrupt. 

But on the other hand I don’t see why only the gauss cannon should benefit from own chargin’ and bonus from cloack.

Anyway, it’s something related to mechanics, def. Not a bug.

If it was different before, then, THAT was a bug.

OK I get your point. I think the initial bug report needs to be clearer though, since skula seems to think it’s a graphics bug ![:p](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/004.png “:p”), when it is actually very easy to reproduce on live server (tried again, and it happens 100% of the time)

  1. Fit gauss cannon onto tackler
  2. Undock
  3. Charge gauss cannon
  4. After one second press F key to cloak
  5. Observe that it does not cloak and goes straight into cooldown without providing uncloak damage bonus

 

What was expected (and what happened before this change):

  1. Charge weapon
  2. Hit cloak
  3. Tackler cloaks up
  4. Tackler uncloaks after two seconds
  5. Damage buff for uncloaking is applied

 

Everyone agree with this or should I change something to make it clearer?

Yep, that’s a good description of what the bug is : Gauss have a different behavior then other guns.

I think it’s easier to notice with gauss though, because of charge mechanic.

not sure if this is a bug, more likely a feature to nerf tacklers so they won’t become gunships of sorts. With the cloak you were meant to use the weapons after decloaking. They changed it so you wouldn’t activate cloak for not cloaking and getting a buff.

Stealth mode always have to disabled after any ship activity: weapon and/or modules. In this case you pressed weapon button after activation of stealth module and stealth mode was turned off after activated immediately.

This is not what happened, he pressed a weapon BEFORE activating a cloak, then cloak - cloak went into CD without “breaking” to grant dmg boost

There surely is something going on with the cloak. My Jaguar has the one that can not be interrupted by damage but it still gets canceled instantly sometimes. Last time it happened there were only aliens around. I try to not forgetting about saving logs when it happens next.

No, no nothing. I thought of that too but there was no any effect only aliens with pulsars. I also thought of collision damage because they were very close but other times I can knock them into the face with full speed and I would still stay cloaked. Other option might be accidental double activation but that I can’t check.

As i understood, weapon button didn’t unpressed after stealth activated.

Kosty, explain in Russian maybe? I don’t see any other way to rephrase or make the video clearer.
