I wouldn’t call it consensus. And the current poll results suggests people rather want to have messed up matches. Maybe they are too used to it they can’t live without it. People complain(ed) about match making in general including the ones opposing my suggestion. Well if those people want messed up games then so be it.
Actually I think you need to be clear on that the MM needs to take into account ship count. As that may confuse some people
