GTA2 in network is hardcore fun, especially with custom maps, well until the game desyncs
also, after a while, everybody names himself “_”, “__”, so on, because that makes the name invisible (pro-tip!)
when it came out, you could not really play it well in the network with the network speeds used back then, so gta2 had a revival in the dawn of the notebook era.
really one of the best LAN games ever. period.
however, the later 3d parts, with their externally modded network engines, were horrible for multiplayer. kudos that it worked as good as it did, and that the MTA stuff is still around, but honestly, no. just… no. even arma runs smoother.
maybe mp will be actually good on the pc side - they promised it for gtaV at least.
