No insulting someone else’s music taste please.

Oh, I don’t think that any music is bad unless its lyrics are bad.

I just think that people who hate classical music and haven’t given it a try have narrow musical tastes. Saying you hate classical is like saying you hate video games. Classical is such a broad term.

Donna Burke - Heavens Divide

Best song I’ve heard in a long time. It reminds me of CDB. Mix of emotions…

This dude might have paid his little brother to do that to get attention on vine or he kid really might have had dyscalculia which is the number form of dyslexia. Then the older dude is really mean and should die.

Either way I like the beat but not the lyrics.

No insulting someone else’s music taste please.

I always thought that one was cheesy. Never really liked it. Played it once, and almost felt embarrassed about it.

On the other hand, I played parts of Pictures at an Exhibition before, and felt great about that. Anyways, it was written by Modest Mussorsky in honour of his artist of a friend after his death. It describes 10 different paintings, and has a few promenades - or breaks - representing running between them all. I kinda want to play the full suite some day, but first, I’ll have to get back into piano!

If you’d like to hear the orchestrated version, instead, they’re out there. The most popular (and honestly, best) one is by Ravel.

This was an absolute blast to perform (but unfortunately isn’t the best of recordings). It’s kind of a musical joke:

This was also an absolute blast to perform. It’s about a dude named Till Eulenspiegel, of German myth. He pulls a bunch of pranks (you can look them up if you like, but the music is honestly pretty visual), and then gets hanged:

I almost got the chance to perform this one, but alas. But, if you have time, listen to it! Stravinsky is a bloody genius. It’s about spring - but instead of the lamesauce “oooh it’s spring” music, it’s about all the sexytimes that go on in the animal kingdom, and some manner of tribal rituals. Plus human sacrifice. Also, the first performance of this one reportedly caused a riot.
