A bleak sun rises over the terra-formed landscape. A lone Voyager watches from under a monolithic ledge as the Scepter Pulse Orb analyses the recently created surface, searching for anomalies that indicate alien life forms may have survived the destruction of the planet. The Marin Flare Phenomenon lights the sky in beautiful hues of turquoise and cyan, a reminder and stark contrast to the now desolate surface.
The Scepter race depends on total annihilation of their victims, as any word of their presence could spell their demise. They have however, underestimated the technology of the people of the Marin Star System. Their persistent scans failed to detect the Marinian EM scattering technology which was designed specifically to avoid detection from such scans. As the Voyager collects specifications about the Scepter, the great destroyers era of planetary bombardment is beginning to unravel without their knowledge. The Scepter are vulnerable soon after their terra-forming process, as they must descend upon the planet’s surface to re-vitalise their bio-mechanical systems, leaving them unprepared to face an attack that they themselves are masters at bringing to others.
As the Marin frigate leaves the star system undetected, the pale star moves across the sky; the last day of Autumn marking the last day the Scepter will feast on the homelands of the many who inhabit this Galaxy.
