Should jsut make like Team fortress 2 had once, a fixed amount of items you can get per week, so in starconflicts situation 1 purple item per day during first win of the day
It seems fair to me considering the price and work for blues/premium modules. Purples are the ‘best of the best’ essentially, so a little work is definitely required.
However, if the drop rate stays the same, there should definitely be more scenarios to run else people will get fed up with the repetitive gameplay.
The problem is that to get a single purple the average player will need to play about a month or 2, And that purple might be a T2 Piece of crap which dropped from a T4 match/scenario. (I had a t2 purple crap item, drop for me from a T4 Match…) Only one I have ever gotten.
But yea in any case the problem is that the drop rate is far too low. Sure it will limit people from getting them, but at the same time those who have them and can farm them in squads will continue to farm them and win unchallenged / undefeated. And those who need them will not be able to get them because those who already have them are wiping the floor with them.
Scenarios would be an option but at T4, you need a squad of purple fit T4 ships to even beat it. And even then the group needs to know exactly what they are doing, and IF you beat it, your not garunteed a purple drop. So you may run 500 and never see one.
A balanced drop rate that is fair is what is needed, Not a drop rate that keeps the elitist in power, and those who only play casually in the gutter and losing continually. And if someone says gear doesn’t make a difference,
