I’m a newbie and i love play this game. Hard to level up all my ships (R6 atm) but i try :)… and sometimes, there is something not fun :
My rating is between 2900-3400 (in R6 ^^… i know this is nothing ^^) and when i win a battle, i win between 30-60 rating pts if i finished in a first or second place… but today, i entered 4 games in a row almost finished and I lost about 350 pts … hard to understand. This rating does’nt mean anymore much for me now… This pilot rating should just be deleted, i think. Or take into account the time of presence of the player in the party…
secondly, You should find a way to prevent the players who have 2000+ games in PVP (R12-R15) to come to break up everything in R6-R5 : we have not the same moduls on our ships, the same skills player etc… When I see R12-15 opposite, I understand why I saw only explosions around me… I shall like understanding the interest which have these players to come in R6-R5 ? Aces ??
I know… this is the game (and i want kill all them B[… i’m kidding ^^… or not B[ héhéhé…) but in the other mmo i don’t play PVP againts LVL100 (with skills and all artefacts power max etc…) when i’m LVL30 (nude newbie which tries to learn)…

Pilot rating doesn’t actually have an effect on the game. It’s just a number that lets you show off to other people, it’s not actually used in any manner of balance. Plus, it’s heavily skewed to show what rank you fly, and how much effectiveness you have – not necessarily your skill level.
Also, in this game, there’s not much that gives some pilots a big advantage over others. There’s nothing you can unlock at rank 15 that makes your ships stronger at rank 6 – The implants stop working when you fly lower ranks, and the only bonus the R15 implant still gives is for income. As for modules, everything is pretty well balanced (although the amount of extra content introduced lately in low ranks means a lot more vets will fly there), and there’s not really much to complain about. Even upgrades don’t make modules terribly much stronger, only a few percent.

Yeah this rating is bullshit, at the point where you know how to “exploit” it you can get every week(atleast when you don’t fly low rank PvP) the Legend title  .

Yeah the old problem the game has since ever. Some players like to dominate newbies in low ranks, and sometimes the devs encourage them to do so since it is the only way to get some ships e.g. the Archelon…
Encouraging someone like Kyuugeki(aka Takamina) to play smth like r7 will never end in a balanced battle
MO the best/only solution to this problem would be not making stuff exclusive for low ranks or forcing player to fly low ranks when they just want to get smth for the higher ranks (I’m looking at you r14 destroyer).
… or i’m just bad ^^ (yes yes i am… :/… ^^)… just learn and be patient (it’s not my nature…), but my other problem is to learn slowly… maybe R7 next year ^^… if i’m lucky ”)… meuuuuh.
ok, so i understand that is usual… “vet” in low rank… I should just get ready mentally be burst ”)
