I’ve had about 12 personally so far.
I found that in T2 you get 1 and in T3 you get 2 - but I can’t give you conclusive confirmation.
I got 2 with my Hydra 2 (rank 6, Tier 2) once.
Need further confirmation.

Edit 2: Got 2 in a T2 match today, confirm that you can get more than 1 Artifact in a T2 match.
I only play pve, I fly between t2 and t3 and I noticed that I had two artifacts, just now, no idea when I got them or anything sorry guys
So I finally got an artifact last night. Did not even notice it was there. I didn’t even notice when or how I looted it… But it’s there. A shiny “1” next to that green square… It’s like something crawled into my game and I’m like “urgh, get away from there… You don’t belong there!!”

Can you confirm whether you got those as a Rank 6 drop, or a Rank 4-5 drop please?
Tier 2 drops only occur if flying Rank 3, 4 or 5; Rank 6 gets you Tier 3 drops (so that you have some military loot for when you buy Rank 7+ ships).

Those drops were from my rank 6 ship.
Then that’s in line with my findings. I think you need to be flying rank 3, 4 or 5 to get the single artifact.
Can confirm that you can get 1 and 2 artifact drops in Tier 2 flying Rank 6 - I got them both in the same match! :lol:
Have 18 artifacts thus far, most of them from PvE. I’ve only gotten one from PvP once, and it was a T3 battle (Prometheus 2, Hawk-M, Cerberus 2).
Artifacts I’ve found so far include inactive generators (2 artifacts) and signal transmitters (also 2 artifacts).
I’ll add that information, Cap. Was it T2 or T4 PvE you’ve been flying?
All artifacts I’ve looted from PvE were in T4 matches. I haven’t observed any other deviations from the pattern; this is considering that I like to play guardian angel and bring my T4 ships to T1/T2 PvE.

Normal loot, same as faction intelligence data - 100% recovery prob. without option to hire “experts” for gold…

Excellent! Now we can all lose our T4 matches that much more quickly and painlessly.
