shortly i got the T3-3-Frigate and i have to say: it rocks. i get more money than on T2, even if i die often i get ~30-40k while on T2 i get ~20-30k. i can use more modules which give me more opportunities. only one thing sucks: players on T3 sometimes are brainless monkeys
Problem between keyboard and chair. Only interceptors have stasis, and only idiots who zerg into the fray solo get “stupidly easily blown up” during it.
In vast majority of the cases, even when you’re something as paper-y as federation interceptor, you can survive stasis by popping EB.
I almost always play in a squad with friends. We don’t just charge in stupidly. We fly in formation and know what we’re doing. In T3 everyone is running Stasis / Ion Beam / White Noise Jammers / Etc. There are tons of things that effectively make you useless for a large period of time.
Also, I shouldn’t be forced to run an EB just to survive a stasis with less than 15% of my hull left. I’m still crippled from fighting effectively at that point and just have to run for awhile. That’s really not a great solution.
If they want disables counterable by equipped items then they should make an active module that can just instantly break all disables/target blocking effects acting on your ship. It will need a reasonable recharge time, but this will improve things substantially.
T2 is so much more fun than T3+ simply because of the lack of (There are still some but nowhere near as many) Stasis Generators on every single Interceptor ruining your day basicly :l
And the fact that for now it is impossible to unlock any T3 mods there is really no point even going to T3 for me and my friends yet when ESB and friends are running with their full epic fitted ships in there…

You claim to play in a squad, then you list problems that a solo player has playing against a squad.
In a squad, if you get statised, you call it on voice comm and either your frigate/imperial fighter peels you hard with damage or your own interceptor ions the high damage attacker that has you lined up. You also don’t remain useless even if this doesn’t happen because your frigate will repair you fast enough.
You obviously run EB on any low hp strike craft not because of stasis but because of tactical weapons and jericho torpedoes. You also run it because it lets you eat massive amounts of damage when needed.
In general, stasis is one of the more balanced things in the game right now due to all the nerfs it received. It’s a very powerful move that has a lot of counterplay options available. Things that actually need attention desperately at the moment are imperial fighter special, federation fighter special in relation to spy bots and interceptor/federation buffs to compensate for massive nerf that came from speed cap.
One stasis? NP.
2-3 Intys with Stasis flying together? Not so balanced now.

I still agree with whoever suggested the diminishing returns on stuns.
Tier I = Fun with beginers
Tier II = Good balance of ships and experience levels
Tier III = Domination by Frigates and Inties
Tier IV = Highest skill level of players
So far, yes, T2 is my favorite to grind matches, though T3 pays the best, by far.

Lure them into a propulsion inhibitor frigate. Triple free kills.
That’s why most decent squads don’t fly too many interceptors. They severely lack firepower to actually do anything when facing something organised after they run out of their tactical weapons.

That’s why most squads DO fly interceptors, those Frigates won’t do anything when they are permanently jammed and die in the duration.
Yes, we adapted this tactic from Zero so instead of flying 2x Frig, 2x Fighter we now fly Frig+Fighter+2x Inty and the destruction is just hilarious because no one is able to do anything to us.

well are we talking t2 or t4? sure in t2 int can be trouble some. because frigs dont have there full potential yet. but at t4 frigs handle it well. sure if they are out of position and alone they can be taken down fast by 3 int. but thats pilor error > stuns op
I enjoy both t2 and t3. I find that I clear about the same money in either tier. However, I think more folks are playing t2 since I rarely have to wait for a match unlike t3.
After playing some T3 yesterday for a bit I have to say T2 is way more fun as things are right now.
Much less aids, much less Frigate domination etc in T2, Frigates start to get unkillable in T3…
Saw a corp mate test the “T3 unkillable frigates” hypothesis today on his frigate. Nope, popped like eggs to his frigate wielding heavy plasma. Was pretty funny to watch.

And then the Frigate moved one step in other direction and the Heavy Plasmas wouldn’t hit anything anymore.
Zig zagging fed frigs would probably win over any stationary frigate.
I take back what I said, T2 is just as bad if not worse than T3 right now because of all the russians abusing unavailable weapons and modules in there because the devs are too shlt to detele them…

I sense anger in this one…
To be honest, play against them more, you will need to be able to defend against those same weapons in tier 3-4 anyway.

We got same mods on T3+ so that is hardly an issue anymore, people abusing them on T2 is a VERY BIG issue on the other hand…
I have T4 ships, but play only T2.
and yes i enjoy T2 also the most.
