My octopus has 70k survivability plus one adaptive shield… Imagine what the guard will be like
Given they all seem to get +15% hitpoints then yes it could be very OP XD
Let’s see, 3x Adaptive Shields, 3x Armored Hulls, 2x Power Relays, 1x Emergency Barrier
Of course, going with 3x Electronic Guidance, 3x Pulse Dischargers, 1x Shared Cooler, and 1x EM resistance, and 1x Thermal resistance would also be quite effective. If, say, one had a Heavy Blaster as a primary…
Yuck. I hate it already.
Also travels at 150m/s with afterburners lol.
I just want a craftable goose tackler 1 3 0 2 3
shared cooler, 3x pulse discharge, kinetic, thermal, infrared, 2x TTC
The ideal glass cannon

just xxxx the energy regen, yeah
just xxxx the energy regen, yeah
Who needs energy?
Yeah maybe I would switch one pulse discharger for an energy regen. That is how I run my Lion Mk II. Also a proton wall might be nice instead of one of the TTC…
But if you’re going to go glass cannon then you might aswell go full yolo anyway
They are coming.
Only question we need to know is … WHEN?
Where is the strafe?
Ok 3 3 0 0 3 then. What do you think?
if it would be possible… 0, 9, 0, 0, 0 on LRF with Positron xD

You could do with one cpu for crit chance I think

Perfect.

I feel like there’s a more optimal setting with some crit chance or damage CPUs.
Personally, I’m excited for a craftable covops.
None of the standard/premium covops in T5 (or T4 for that matter) have the module layout I want (2-1-2-1-3).
This way I could combine the double-adaptive of the grey falcon with the 3 cpu of the falcon-m to make a really nice damging, fairly tanky and maneuverable covops.

I want that build for my ECM…
The level-up bonuses will have some impact on this, but I’m curious to find out the best possible crafted port for the Heavy Overlord build.
Side note, when they say all ships, perhaps we will eventually get secret projects for the faction’s secondary focus. (Empire Engineer, Jericho LRF, Fed Recon, etc.)

Well then you’re in luck, as the Caltrop exists.
well personally because Im going with heavy blaster on the guard I would go with:
2 engines = 2 shared coolers, besides the fact that you have longer time of overheating the shared cooler gives around 400 to 500 point of dps per cooler on thermal weapons that will beat pulse discharge and not take the negative effects of it (energy).
1 capacitor = pulse discharger or multiphase generator (until the ship is fully synergized)
3 shields= 2 thermals 1 kenetic
3 hulls = 2 galvanized 1 reinforced hull
plus the implants (crew) which this is the “secret sauce” of the guards ;-)
and for active modules, nothing but to tank on the battle, pulsar, shield boost, emergency shield boost, liquid metal injector
Note: it will not add points to survivability but it will be resistant as hell, and that is the key to a good guard
PLUS A COUPLE MORE, AND BIG ONES: is that we dont know yet what will be the spacial ability that will be added to the phased shield of the guard, and the buffs that come with the ship
I’m still waiting and hoping on Secret Project Tackler. Especially if it has damage/rail buffs like the Rockwell or Lion. Roll 2/3/1/1/2 and spew gunfire like a Gunship.

I’d much rather it have a buff that helps it Gravi-Beam. Or something that encourages actually using your tackler modules to assist in the fight rather than dropping drones and immediately going to cloak…

Heavy blaster already gets 22sec to overheat, why do you need shared coolers for that?
Personally I’m thinking 1/2/3/3/0 for the JGuard but 1/1/3/3/1 or 1/3/3/2/0 are also under consideration. Depends on base stats and the level up bonuses.

well you have a 50-50 chance of that happening theres only the tackler and the cov ops from the fedy to be left for secret project ships

not for the overheating but to get more dps out of them with out the negative effects of pulse dischargers, when it comes to thermal weapons the shared cooler gives about 400-500 dps more for everyone you install

And you only get to see the benefit of that dps if you hold down the fire button for more than 30 seconds at a time.

well you maybe right about that, but it has worked so well for me on the inquisitor S, that Im a strong believer of it
