Why does it take 2 presses of thruster buttons to move Project 1011 after using Remote Disintegrator?

It's annoying. You disengage from the remote disintegrator to move, and it plays engine sounds but the ship won't move forwards until you press things again.

 

It also happens with this forum - I press the back button and it loads the same page again, requiring me to press back twice...unrelated but very related.

 

Other ships are fine. Can disengage from regular LRFs and it doesn't do this.
