Killed and inactive players should not be able to loot for trophies!

Recommended Posts

Suggestion: Killed players should not be able to loot for trophies if inactive/absent for too long!

I've seen too many times that (some) players were intentionally dying. The cause of this was either usually complete inactivity or clear stupidity on their part.

After that, they refused to use a single Duplicator. If I used a Duplicator on them, they usually did not spawn. They remained inactive for the remainder of the match.

In most cases, such events can cause you to lose a PvE match if you need at least two or more active players, depending on the situation, prolonging and ruining the match for others.

To be absolutely clear! If there's bad or inefficient player, he's at least trying to help. Such actions are welcome. Problem is when players are just too lazy to care and help others in battle!

There is more than enough chances now to get Duplicators for free in Open Space from regular containers, looting trophies in general, or just by crafting them in the Workshop.

I suggest the following actions for specific circumstances in PvE battles/scenarios:

  • A player that was killed in PvE battle will get regular Credits from this battle, but he will not be able to claim any loot/trophies if he's not respawned within first two minutes.
  • A player that got revived by someone else, did not spawn. Inactivity or refusing to spawn with the ship will prevent you from looting trophies.
  • If a player did not use his Duplicator or 'Revive attempt' in less than two minutes in the Spectator mode, he should automatically lose his right to claim the loot/trophies. (same as AFK)
  • If a player got killed within a less than the 2-minute period before the match ended, he will get still all the rewards, including looting trophies and possible daily purple loot spots.
  • If a player got killed just before his first PvE battle ended, his daily purple loot spots will also be removed, even if the battle was victorious. (same as skipping the loot)

Optional: (to avoid excuses and incentivize the use of Premium ships)

  • All Premium ships should automatically have 'one free duplication attempt' if destroyed in a PvE battle.
  • The 'warning message' should be given if a player has no Duplicator/s in his Storage/Armory when he's about to play/start a PvE match. (including 'Special Operation' scenarios)

Discuss.

why do you care anyway ? there are so few players in this game  if you get rid of the few who are making it possible to even queue a match EVERYBODY will be forced to stop playing ..... STOP GIVING THE DEV'S MORE IDEAS TO DESTROY THIS GAME , THEY ARE DOING SUCH A FINE JOB AS IT IS.

Listen! I would cease with such rude and aggressive rhetoric. Big underlined capital letters won't change anything, nor will your attitude.

When you're ready to act in a more appropriate manner, then you're welcome to come back and contribute.

"force players to waste their duplicators or spend GS" lel nah. I'm all for the "refusing to duplicate via ally" thing and if they self destruct or something, but leave duplicators out of this.

yes, at least lazy players will not get reward, and maybe they will learn to play in team, after.

I'm against it.
Game can't distinguish people that get intentionally killed than got unlucky or are just simply less skilled. All is about team composition and sheer of luck.
For example: There is a team in Ariadne consisting of Gunship, Cov Ops, LRF and Tackler. Gunship cannot teleport or make itself invisible, so its primary target. I don't want players to get punished for trying. But if they disconnect, self-destruct or get killed by purpose I'm often seeing in Ariadnes, it should be bannable.

"Duplicators are everywhere" - thats true, but game is bad at telling it. If you play 1 hour a day, you won't have surplus of duplis. If you run out of them, game should tell that you can construct them or buy for GS, otherwise people think this is premium only item. Revives should be more visible - once you go to spectator mode, information that someone is reviving you is barely visible.

you can find a lot of duplicators in open space, go imperial transport hub, just 15min / day you ll get 5.

if ppl are less skilled, it's no matter if they still try to help.

if they don't have gs to make one for the battle, they shouldn't go in battle untill they get dups in other battles or in os.

it's not that complicate.

Anyway  it's a good  thing for ppl who are bad faith or parasites.

I cannot entirely agree on this...

Punishing AFK... yes please, also remove credits and synergy gain for inactivity > 3min (PvP/PvE/CooP/SecCon/SpecOps)

Punishing dying... no, everyone has a bad day then and when or just may die in a ridiculous and stupid way for just doing something wrong or a tiny mistake (or even the absence of support from the team) this would be pretty unfair... and removing purple loot for one dumb mistake is over the limit

i agree about that, but at least he maybe should use 1 dup 1 time to proove that he wasn't here just to die in purpose and let other work for him.

knowing that, i know nothing prevents ppl to use 1 dup and stay afk after...

anyway on these kind of problems there's all time honest guys who pay for theses bad and cr*** ppl.

One dumb mistake? Then prepare to rectify it. It's never been easier to craft or obtain one Duplicator than it is now.

There used to be a time where there were no Duplicators at all. Once you died, you stayed dead for good!

And it would have been much better in many cases. Duplicators should only be present for Open Space and Spec Ops modes.

I saw people that flew ships without equipment, just by looking at their stats, no weapons either, they did (almost) absolutely nothing, and died in the first 5-15 seconds in the game.

In any case, my suggestion isn't final and can be edited and improved at a later time. The discussion should be aimed at that.
