Static Emitter [Weapon]

Recommended Posts

Name: Static Emitter

Type: Primary weapon

Range: 4,000m

Single flight speed: 1,950m/s

Held flight speed: 1,250m/s

Single damage: 1,450 Thermal

Held damage: 2,800 Thermal

Single RoF: 120rpm

Held RoF: 20rpm

Tooltip: Single trigger pulls release small bolts of energy that make the target shock one enemy or object once per hit in a 300m radius. The shock deals 1/2 damage of the original hit. If the trigger is held, a large ball of energy is formed that will shock enemies in a 250m radius for 1/2 damage. If an enemy is hit by the energy ball itself, they become statically charged for 8 seconds. If an enemy or enemy object comes within 750m of them, they are shocked and afflicted with the static debuff once per second. If two enemies stay close enough, they will resonate damage until they move apart or are destroyed.

(fires like a phaser, but with less damage and a Pulsar-like effect that debuffs enemies with the effect. Shocks from the heavy ball do not debuffs enemies, only the ball itself. If two enemies stay close to each other, even if only one is hit by the static ball, they will both be granted the debuff and shock each other until the move apart. Heavy ball does set damage. Shocks deal 1/2 of the ball's damage.)

Whichever ship the devs decide to put it on. They're the ones getting paid not me. Even though me and a handful of forum members here are responsible for most of this game's content now.
