Seeing how it is not as fun as it was when it got introduced, AND since it was meant for testing purposes, it would be the right time to change or remove it from the regular PVP Queue.

Please be objective about the topic.

Remove. Ships can't play their role to the fullest when they die in 1 hit. It's BS, not strategy. It's only about who has the bigger gun. And the spawn camp...funny how the game has a rule against spawn camp, and then implements a game mode that's all about which side will spawn camp first.

It's tiring, i get the testing phase but it took too long, also every second game is survival, it began to be not funny anymore when you need tasks done...

Remove survival or do as blurcak said and allow selecting which pvp modes we want and then advertise for more players. Also using steam was probably not good idea due to bad reputation on people rating mmo's not to mention, don't you have to pay them? stop paying them and focus more on getting more players. More players could be the ABSOLUTE fix to this game. That would mean removing the allowing low ranks in with high ranks also. Putting up with people that don't really know what they are doing is enough to drive someone away also.

Why would someone want to get more players, if you can just squeeze everything from the ones that provide?

If there would be an interest to do that, they would have done it years ago.

 

In any case, Survival should be removed!

Both true. I the beginning I bought the 2014GS r15 ships because eventually I wanted to get resources from hole OS and 4 ship pier/docks.

That jump to the top w/GS was not good. And it has its inherent flaw till today (2017GS NY bargains..) -> assignments maped to players rank-by-ship status.

Players start with the faction idea, that  also gets irrelevant quick. Factions are more or less useless for the game... Are there faction based sector conquests? No.

MM, with the playerbase in mind, is o.k. more or less.

The new Ellydium ships will break current dessy adapted PvP, quickly until Spring. Next winter it seems Ellydium ship collection  will be the way to go, bye bye olde-ships :005:

But above all, SC-devs doing very much to constantly innovate the game, ask userbase, have staff for the forums. SC is like a constant rolling release

thats a huge effort.

Survival is a raw and primitive game mode, it has its own raison d'être in that sense.

Unfortunately more individual choices in selecting the PvP modes would bust the MM even more, I fear..

Get more players, they do it, you are not right. And steam is not bad in my view - but I am from SteamOS on Linux. And this is my only game , not one among many WindowseGames.. ;)

Survival brings nothing to PvP outside of OS. Did a 7-kill within 15s medal thing. That wasn't funny. What will the enemy team do in such cases? LRF/dds just eat through the ships like hell.
If you don't equip OS/range weapons, you are mostly useless.
No additional content to the PvP modes.

It's an interesting mode nonetheless but it became a burden after a month of always survival and rarely anything else.

Survival is only good if you are LRF or gauss/posi/phaser build. (and to a certain extent ninja ships but then you just go on suicide runs which is stupid)

It is not interesting and does not encourage diversity in play styles and builds. I therefore vote to remove it.

It's not "liked" by the majority, unlike other stuff un-liked by the mojirty of players, this one simply needs to go on a pause at least until it gets developed further.

Problem with survival is that 80% of the classes are useless here. 

They are not useless but their effectiveness is not as good, however, recons are fun as heck in this mode. . . Warp behind the lrf lines and pop 3-4 before you die.

My opinion is you not enjoyed this gamemode! It's name is survival, not camp and rush. Avoid obstacles, don't let to be detected and attack enemies. Just try to be assassin :D Tactic is most important thing in this gamemode. take recon to take down lrf's, engi should be fast and try to be not detected, gunships should rush when they're have loaded overdrive, covops is born to this gamemode, guards should use pulsar good and destroy rockets, command - play normal xD, tackler - use chameleon when you got min. 50% hull. Now enjoy!

and LRF, one-shot any ship on the enemy team and get a guaranteed maniac medal (even just by spamming torps)...
