Hangar quick travel costs.

You say that because you have several hundreds on your bank.

Irrelevant, no one in their right mind would use that feature. So the point is not valid at all.

They are important for players who need to buy something. In your case, you have if not everything almost everything, that's why credits are worthless for you, and that's why you can afford throwing a hundred million of them for monocrystals. But again, that doesn't mean it's a fair trade.

GS in the other hand are the right money to pay for monocrystals since it's the money that prevents you for grinding.

Again, if you're not willing to pay real money for them, just do the daily grind and you will get them eventually.

How much time will I have to grind to get 8400 monocrystals to be able to build all top secret projects?

So far I got over 840. Enough for 2 ships.

I will do simple math here. Correct me, if I am wrong.

How much time will I have to "grind" to be able to obtain just the ships, not any mark V's.

Materials are not the problem. I can get them.

10 ships, each type and role. Jericho will have one more, Torpedo Frigate. Rank 14 ship will be probably moved to rank 15.

I day = 9 monocrystals (premium license)

10 days=90 monocrystals (premium license)

100 days = 900 monocrystals (premium license)

So, I would have to constanly play free daily missions for over 3 months of time to get 2 prototype ships (premium license).

almost 14 months to get all 10 ships with a free option. Well, it's free, so I can't really complain, I will just have to play it more. ;)

Of course, I could also spend money and maybe I will, but not before the new year.

Still, crew option is still payable. I want to get maximum efficiency, so I guess I'll buy those slots as well.

Tell me, is every slot 2000GS or it gets higher?

Thanks, Resi.

And what's the problem there? The craft-able ships are a whim and you can either wait patiently of pay a lot of GS to get them. They are sightly superior than the top end ships of their faction because you can decide what to put them, so they must be expensive and very hard to them. What's the problem? If we allowed all wealthy veterans to get them for insane amount of credits they would lose their value.

Also every slot is 2k GS, they don't increase. Total of 6k.

The problem can be, if there are some nerf changes implemented later, your ship's build can be affected in a bad way.

If you mess up your build, you can deconstruct it, but you lose resources, because you do not get them all back.

There should be an option, like duplicator that allows you to reset your ship's build once for free for either if you buy that with GS or once per month or something.

Just in case...

Takes ~3 minutes to change factions

Average is 4.30 empire to jerry is the fastest, but fed to empire or jerry is about 5 min considering fueling times

Confirmed, not a perfect warp but takes about 4 minute to travel between Empire and Jerico. Didn't test Fed but 5 minute sounds legit. Total time including refuel and loading would be around 10 minutes to switch twice for daily mission.

I did the same as milf a few days ago and then forgot about it ._.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-5_9FVcKCA

4.27 including time to pick up fuel from the spawning point.

fed to empire hanger took 5.11

recon used is only 687m/s, but with 700m/s and some pactise with when to warp, people could probably shave 30 seconds off. all 3 missions + travel time can be done in about 13-16 minutes as long as you do not get the transport ship missions. however travelling 5 minutes each time you want to change contract in the middle of a pvp spree is not fun

When you spawn in Stripped Deposits, on your left would be a closer fuel depot, but it probably has less fuel.

A potential abuse is taking some unused premium ship into Invasion, self destructing, and then taking your main ship to Invasion.  Your 100 fuel cells will be there.  If it's premium with no missiles or ammo you'll have no costs for doing so other than the five seconds it takes.  It might not take you all the way but it can get you close to a fast pit stop.

It probably needs reported to the devs.  But all those accidental invasion launches with the wrong ship or when I wanted PvE kind of piss me off with the ammo and missile replenish costing 15k for two seconds of flight.

What is all the fuss about the monocrystals?

Devs just confirmed that there will be no secret project ships anywhere below T5 anyway and unclear about T4/5 separation.

So we have 1 huge r10-r16 tier that consists no more than 15% of the playerbase, while on 1-7 there is about 30% and the rest is in r8-9.

None of the new players will go from r9 to r10 because of 2 things :

Hangar travel cost.

Having to face R15-16 ships fully purple on their white non-synergized r10. (If they were even a bit competent to get to 1301 dsr, which is too easy)

What are you talking about??? Rank 9 is when hangar travel costs are their most expensive, and yet still mandatory! Once you hit Rank 10, BAM, you can fly to another station for FREE because you can cross frontier space!

Yeah, fully purple ships vs. no-synergy white ships is a downer, but that will always be a problem. It's a fundamental flaw in how they designed game progression, and unfortunately, won't be changed now that we are in 1.0.

Fly for free you say.

Having 2 hours to play a day, maybe and spending 20 of the 120 minutes in open space to change stations (remember, newbie with r9 who just got his white federation recon) then out of the 100 minutes left 60-80 are games and the rest is que.

So, your point is moot for a player who just wants to play PvP and do not bother with PvE or traveling.

I much rather have the "free" option where there is 5 minute timer and I pop into the other station.
I can go to forums and sites and fill my time as I do when the que times are bad, but I am basically forced to fly in a mode I find no enjoyment playing at all.

EDIT : P.S. Soon there will be even more ambushers on gates that are just watching their monitors, sipping coffee and waiting for some newbie on his white R10 to pop up, so they can return him back to the station, so he have to go again, pay a huge sum of credits or spend GS for travel instead of ships/license or something that is worth it.

Do not get me wrong. It is too hard to ambush us, veteran players. But we also have couple of millions stashed, so we can trow some out of frustration, but newbie who have so many ships to buy - no.

Ok, now I'm confused. Are we talking about this?: "None of the new players will go from r9 to r10 because of 2 things"

Or your personal preference for PvP over everything else? Because I was talking about the new players who are still at Rank 9. You seem to be talking about your personal preferences hiding behind the justification: "just because I don't want to do this, nobody does."

It is a completely free option that takes 5 minutes of flying, tops if you use the Cruise Engine Module or a Recon. Compared to Crews, which have no alternative other than GS, this is great. We can either pay GS, Credits, or fly for FREE at the cost of 5 minutes of your time. That's pretty nice.

Again, the players who have it the worst off are the Rank 9 players who have no other option but to pay exorbitant amounts of credits to get their vouchers. If you won't use the free option as a Rank 10 player, there is no reason to complain, as that is the choice you have made.

Maybe their R10's are frigates because those are easiest to grind in PvE.  Has anyone tried seeing how long it'll take in a Empire or Jericho frigate?

Ok, granted. Maybe if you've got nothing but a frigate, you have a legitimate problem.

However, most of the veterans posting here have been around long enough that they should have at least one Rank 10 Fighter or Interceptor.

250,000 credits sounds about better to switch factions. Hands down the main problem.

Also, I rather shell out 10,000,000 credits as a grind as an alternate option to the crew system. OR get a discount on it.

But the problem is it doesn't seem like the cost is to hurt loyalty grinding but to instead hurt monocrystal grinding.  Using 800,000 credits to switch factions for contracts seems extreme to me.  Setting it to 800,000 for extremely rare monocrystals seems at least twistedly understandable.  Anyone not all purple on their prime ships is hurt by these prices.

Just give us the oooold Voucher system back.

Don't depends on station.

Single contracts.

Level your faction up to 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 / 15 gives you profit.

And you can get all of those mods on that faction to that tier directly on Mk3.

I liked that system. It was not pure voucher grind and would make the game easier for everyone again.

0.7 / 0.8... miss that time.

To be honest, the current voucher system is all right with the faction contracts and no limit per game contracts.

The main problem is the price of the hangar change, and the lack of non paying option until reaching rank 10. And even then, if you don't reach federation tackler or any recon, you will have a hard time switching stations.

I really don't see why it's necessary to have ten currencies in this game. We should get rid of most of them and just have credits, iridium and GS. No more Loyalty, no more Monocrystals.

The game is broken ... 90% of ppl who join quit because its not a fair game!

Successful  new games are those in our days that are free to play(its collecting the people) ,  and  fair(you only pay for customisation or faster progress) and this game does not provide that ... the thing with thsee is that people leave it after realizing they will never compete with others no matter how hard you play cause in the end premium ships are better.

Proof?

Premium ships are not better. In fact most of them have worse slot layout or bonuses than their credit counterparts. But they are great for farming.

False-

Exemple 1: 6 bonuses to premium ships

Exemple 2 : extra bonuses on premium ships that are not on normal ships

Exemple 3: some  bonuses are bigger then normal ships

Exemple 4 : Are you seriosuly gonna say that is not enough ? Dude i have been against premium engineer ships builds  premium that simply are so hard to beet, Deimon recon ship t3 that is able to give 30k dmg only though missels in  a few seconds. and exemples are so so more.

How can you say they are worse ... you blind ? or you just say that to make an conversation.

Premiums ships support a different playstyle. There may be bonuses in some areas but deficits in others. Premium ships are not pay2win. Crews are.

GetOverIt how long have you been playing this game I want to see your hours inhangar and hours in battle. Please.
