sc4r4b 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2014 After playing the new detonation game mode and Combat Recon I was reminded of Tribes Rabbit Gameplay. Rabbit is a gameplay mode that features one flag. All players scramble to capture a single flag and retain control of it for as long as possible. The longer you hold the flag for, the more points you receive. The player with the most point when the timer runs out or reaches X amount of points wins. http://www.tribesascendwiki.com/Rabbit I think it may encourage more chasing and less turtling like in Combat Reconnaissance. residente 717 Report post Posted January 6, 2014 It would encourage camping and frigballing imo. One picks the flag, hides between engineers and guards, and waits for 10 minutes doing nothing... It would be like being captain, because you are the reason the enemy team will lose, so the one with the flag would hide behind the spam (as always). The games would be boring and slow I fear. This wont happen if there are no teams.. everyone playing for themselves Although it still doesn't sound like too much fun

capnnic 77 Report post Posted January 7, 2014 There are players who grab the bomb in Detonation for the sole purpose of keeping it away from enemy hands, thus making only one bomb available for grabs. Said players would hang back and mount an insurmountable defense for that purpose. If that can be done in Detonation, I don't see why it would be any different in this proposed game mode. Hell, it could be worse.
darkkiller 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2014 maybe the bomb/flag could damage all friendly ships in a 1500m range on %-base (3% of HP damage/s) (except the carrier) in flag mode, you could need to reactivate the flag after every 2min (or more often) at a random location on the map (or 2-3 possible locations wich change after each activation?) ZapBrannigan 214 Report post Posted January 7, 2014 I would prefer a "realistic Team Deathmatch": Same rules like in Realistic, but no beacons. 2 Teams enter, one comes out alive! :Dwop
