Open Exploration world

Recommended Posts

Now this game is good, action packed intense battles, missions etc, but I think this game would be amazing if the developers brought out an open world, like in many space games, that you explore space like in EVE online and freelancer and so on... It would take this game to a whole new level if you could explore the known universe, if developers saw this I hope they would agree, maybe bringing it out as a big update, having maps which you PvE on and maps with PvP. If you see this developers, I bet loads of people would strongly agree to this idea. Please do it :D

We will have more improvements for the sector conquest, but we will have no real open world like in eve.

I honestly think open world would ruin it for me. I played eve online but it's slower paced.... MUCH slower paced.. and battle's don't happen on a very awesome scale. Seeing the game as instant action is the hook for me. I work alot and don't have time to sit around and farm up gold or go mining for hours on end to get really nothing. So to log in and hop in a battle right away is great.

An open world honestly would not be that bad. If you play your cards right this game could be 10x better than EVE Online. The way you fight in the game would make it much more fast paced. Add larger ships that move slower but have an extreme amount of fire power and health. Also, make it so you have a pilot that you can control and add planets. Make the factions able to start wars with each other and alliances. The graphics would go well with an open world game and make it so you don't have to fly everywhere, add like a warp drive which is already used in the game when you join a battle. You should be able to move at incredible speeds when you're in a star system so you can explore the planets and find battles going on but slow down when you join a battle. I would go into more detail, but this is just a comment, these are not all my ideas.

Well, I hope the Devs atleast think about it. They have the oppertunity to do something amazing, with what they already have. Don't compare it to EVE, its incomparable. Eve was long, slow paced, boring, and extrodinarily convoluted. Look at it in more of a 'Freelancer' light. Allowing for some exploration, a bigger variety of missions, and a more open PVP environment could be absolutely amazing. And you could even do quest 'events' the way GW2 did, and have it to where pilots can just jump into an event seamlessly. No party invites, no red tape, just spot the event, jump in and help. And the warring zones could have a sort of Planetside 2 effect, where its just constant war, rather than having to join arena style rooms. I understand that would require developing a LOT more things for the game, but I think it could be worth it. Even possibly providing hard end storylines for people to follow along with. The story is barely apparent as it is now, and could definitely use more story oriented quests, with characters you can get attached to, and story driven battles, etc etc.

That being said, the game is just fine as is (minus the fact that it could use more content, but that is something the devs will always be providing, its just a natural part of an MMO). I like it as is, and really only want some more story driven PVE experiences. Possibly 100v100 or even larger battlles. Infact, on the PVP end, I honnestly think it will do nothing but improve the game to have absolutely massive PVP events.

So far though, great job guys, this game is amazing!

I am a big fan of the guild war 2 "dynamic event" system too and this would definitely be a great addition in the future

Or a small open world with a space station that would allow us to access the game menus to access the hangar.

It would allow players to navigate quietly in space, in a space still limited, without fear bullets!

While a full open world would be impractical due to various technical constraints, an open world lobby like Vykt0R42 suggested would greatly enhance the social aspects of this game.

This game needs a full open world to succeed. It would be ten times better than EVE, take that back, a thousand times better with this sort of combat. CMON STAR GEM iNC. MAKE IT HAPPEN PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THE NEW AND OLD GODS!!!!!!!!!!!!

How about sector conquest , Connected large maps with different scenarios (game modes) ? For example , when we entered sector 1338 it is Detonation mode. And winner travels from there to another start system , engaged into Captain game mode, etc. and with huge battles 30 v 30 on some areas.

Sector conquest is not fully completed yet and it will get some nice features, but currently I cannot tell you what exactly.

read this quote from steam "Star conflict FAQ English version.

6. How large is the game world?

The game currently uses instanced battles, with struggle for dominance in space sectors. Interstellar travel is planned later.

now be me befor i decided to buy Star conflict dlc to help the development of this title. (to give you the funds to make this pervious plan to the game a reality.)

relize how i feel. i am very very sad...... hurt ........ and betrayed.......

at the very least yall have all alowed false advertising lead me along by the nose.

And priorities or worth of something may change their backlog. Or they can't decide on a way to do it properly.

Maintain? How dare you expect that! Features are there not to make them better, you just implement them and take your hands off of it!

I don't think an open world would work anyway in this game, not without "arcade" working properly.

OH well yes its very hard to release new things when the things that they already implements are ........ "broken" .......

this i of course understand i just found the few gm posts on this website to be .... disturbing seeing as how i was under the impression that this proposed feature was always at the very least .... tossed around.

of course now understandably i feel cheated and i kinda want to just say it somewhere on the site that

"Hey u know them hundreads of dollars i spent in dlc and gold standerds." Yeah that was give to u cause i have always supported soem kind of "free roam" for star conflict." That is all"

They don't care if it's broken or not, they will just keep on releasing new stuff anyway.

And until the people in charge see a profit in it, they won't do it. And it seems that right now, they don't see a profit in it.

Here's the kicker, Arcade WAS working perfectly.

I think if each sector had it's own map and we could choose to fight in any sector we liked (or a selection of say 5 at a given time based on conquests), and that certain combos of sectors granted pilots of said Faction or Corp certain advantages.

That would be enough of an open world for many I think and still confine us to battles.

We will indeed have a sandbox PvP mode in the future.
