You can get the “Special module resources” via the; as you mentioned - Ellydium node resources container. In order to get the container you need to select the first selectable container when selecting a special operations task. Once selected all you need to do is complete a special operation with a ship above Rank 7 and then purchase the container from the store for 100 iridium. Special module resources aren’t guaranteed and aren’t very common but at the very least the container is cheap.
